I use it both outside and inside when they come over. If you use it inside with water just make sure you put towels down. Water doesn't have to be used inside because my grandkids just like putting their toys in it. Outside they have a blast and play for hours. Sometimes its hard to get them to come inside.This was one of the best things I could have gotten for them. Its easy to assemble and easy to move around. It its very sturdy too because at times they can be a bit rough with it. He has only been able to use it a few times when it was warm outside but we live in the south and will get to use it plenty! It was fairly easy to set up and seems very durable. I love that I can collapse and store it if I'd like. And so do we! It is easy to set up and fold up for use on the go. They really loved continuing to fill the top tray with water to keep the rain shower continuously going while they were playing in the bottom trays.
