I was advised toys r us cannot do returns on the bouncer if it was opened. I reached out to the manufacturer and they were of no help, and told me it was normal. The threading on the bouncer was coming apart in different areas. Plastics do usually deteriorate in sunshine and heat, though, so this may have shortened the life of it. The directions say not to let it get wet for fear of mildew; ours has been out in the rain occasionally, but we set it up as soon as the weather cleared so that it could dry out thoroughly.
