It's been very handy when friends come over as all the kids have a place to sit and eat snack/lunch. He loves to color on it and drive his cars on it. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is the slightly textured top makes getting crayon off of it a challenge. Magic eraser has been a good solution. We haven't tried to fold it up as we use it every day so I can't speak to that or to the umbrella function as its been inside the playroom.
