However, my daughter and I can sit together on one side without it tipping (with no one on the other side)! Over the winter, we collapsed the table and stored it with the closed umbrella in our shed. This spring we got it out and to my displeasure, the fabric of the umbrella is very worn and upon opening it up the first time, the fabric tore in many places along the centers of almost all of the umbrella's panels. So bummed! I thought there would be a replacement umbrella available for purchase but it turns out there is not. And several other umbrellas we have tried are either not tall enough, wide enough or the poll is too wide to fit the hole in the table. Disappointed. It even held a couple of adults. And I saw some comments about the spacing between the bench and table being too large, but we all thought it was perfect for our toddlers and preschoolers.
