At first I was a little worried when I got it out of the package as I wasn't sure if it can withstand the children because it felt very light. But once you put everything together it is very sturdy. My only complaint are the doors, they don't seem to close at the bottom corner tightly unless you use a little bit force. But it's seems like it did not bother the kids at all. I actually believe after few time uses it will be fixed by itself. I'm not sure how weather resistant it is as. Its almost always hot and sunny in CA. So the ventilation is really good and did not feel hot or humid at all inside. My daughter cannot get enough of it. She has moved all of her dolls, dishes and stuffed animals inside the cottage with her. She makes us knock on the door and then will open it and loves the opening windows! With her inside, there is ample room for other small children to play. I really like this cottage because it was so much fun for my children to go in and out with a great design. I would definitely buy the Cape cottage by Little Tikes because it is so much fun and a very sturdy. I was not aware of this product before I received it but I absolutely love it and have recommended it to others. I feel that it is very well made and just the right time size for the kids to go in and out of the doors and play with the windows. it is lightweight but well built so that it will stay together over time. I also like that it can be moved around two different locations because it is lightweight. My kids really liked the working windows with shutters and door. It was such a hit with my kids and their friends too. My boyfriend put it together by himself in less than a half hour. I love that you only need a screw driver for the flag posts and nothing else. I like that the other &quot;screws&quot; are plastic pieces that won't injure the kids. It has an attractive design and seems like it will hold up for a long time. The doors are a little flimsy and get stuck on the bottom bar sometimes, but it isn't a big deal and my kids don't even notice. The cottage is light weight and easy to move, yet durable and will hold up to weather. The stickers add to the appeal and make it look more real, even having an address on it. We love that there are two doors, one in the front and one in back. My kids don't have to push past each other to get in or out, they can simply use the other door. They also really like opening and closing the shutters. Their favorite feature of the Cape Cottage though is the mail slots. They are constantly sticking &quot;mail&quot; in to each other. Overall, this is a great quality playhouse that I expect to last several years. It is plastic but it is not sturdy and thick like the playhouses from back in the 90's. It is not inches thick but rather 6 millimeters thick. Therefore, not very sturdy or durable. I have rough boy twins that I can tell are going to demolish this house within a year.
