The product, however, is not. I literally had to use a drill to make holes for the screws because the holes weren't drilled correctly. None of the knobs fit I had to drill those holes as well and they still wouldn't stay on. Nor does the burner that's supposed to make noise work. This part is defective as well because its missing the actual metal component the batteries connect to. Its just an empty plastic burner. I would NOT recommend this toy. We had difficulty finding this oven and found it on line in the North Dakota. We calledo and reserved it. The staff was very cooperative. The kitchen is just what we wanted and there was more to it than expected. Our granddaughter who is turning 1 is perfect. As she is learning to walk this kitchen keeps her standing and moving from side to side on the low level. Her Brother that is 2.5 is also 100% in the kitchen. It was a wonderful gift . When we put this together my husband noticed there was no conductors for the batteries so I contacted the manufacturer and they sent us a replacement. The burner on this kitchen is a non-electronic burner; it doesn?t require batteries and doesn?t make any sounds. And the white vent meant for the oven leans forward so they can't even put their plates or cup on the shelf cuz they keep falling out. This comes with plenty of accessories so a 2 yr old had plenty of options to play with. I too contacted Little Tikes about the burner but was given an explanation that made sense. There are no electronics components in this kitchen so even though the plastic burner looks like it should make noise (it doesn't) so if you put batteries in it won't make any noise. Study construction and only a couple of screws to hold it together. The set requires 2 AA batteries. Is that for the burner to make a sound? Mistake in manufacturing. I purchased mine before Christmas and contacted them to advise them of the missing parts. I returned to toy r us to get another one, however, upon opening a couple of them, it was discovered that they all had the same missing parts. I wrote to toys r us to advise them that they should place a recall on the item as they were all defective.
