It does make noise and chirp but it&rsquo;s not as loud as some toys we have! This is the cutest little pet for your kids that&rsquo;s not a real living pet. I could tell it&rsquo;s made of high quality material. Super fun as we uncliped the bird from the cage my daughter instantly thought she was a real bird. I absolutely love the fact that she can have the responsibility of a pet but without actually having a real pet. She took care of her all evening. The sounds are high quality and you actually feel like you own a bird. I highly highly recommend to teach your littles the lessons of pets, she can now actually have a zoo so cute and so much fun. It&rsquo;s an adorable little toy. That batteries are not included and there&rsquo;s a tiny screw that you need to unscrew which I cannot do right now. So my review is based on how cute it is and I hope it will work. I don&rsquo;t understand why they have to put this tiny screw there and make it impossible to open. It sings and repeats back what you say as well as turn its head. The more you pet it, the more she sings.
