Even after the initial surprise my daughter still plays with her little mouse family every single day! It&rsquo;s such a lovely concept for a toy, the children set the cage up by clipping in the little water bottle and placing the mama&rsquo;s hay in the hutch. Filled the bottle with water once and waited for her to have her little babies. You have to ensure you stick to the instructions and only fill once or it may leak. Ours did take a little longer than the 60minutes advertised- it was around 90minutes before they dropped but when they did both children absolutely loved seeing how many babies she had and dressing them up in their accessories. Since receiving this toy my daughter has played with it every day &amp; likes to tuck her mouse in before bedtime. It&rsquo;s certainly a gift to consider if you have little ones who love animals. It&rsquo;s also the perfect size to fit in the changing bag for days out, ours has been to the park and out for dinner. Once the girls had given Bella lots of welcoming cuddles and made her comfortable in her freshly laid straw bed in her hutch, they fed her some celery and delighted in watching Bella's eyes opening and shutting while she munched away . Then they carefully topped up Bella's water bottle and fixed it in place to the hutch to keep Bella hydrated. After just under an hour of waiting, Bella's surprise was revealed....not 1, not 2 but 3 cute little bunny babies arrived in her hutch! They came with their own little pretty accessories and a birth certificate so we could identify which breed each baby was and give them names: Lily, Sophia and Ella were a beautiful addition to the bunny pet family and provided extra entertainment for the girls as they are now nurturing 4 pets not just 1! The magical birth has been recreated for their friends on a few occasions now - and the best bit is after the first time, there is no waiting, the birth is instantaneous (as obviously Bella now knows what to do!) It is so much fun for pet lovers and would-be owners with lots of little interactive details The hutch and babies are just the right size for little hands to nurture and carry around and they are so cute and adorable. Perfect if you have siblings as there are enough live pets to go round with just one set and they can take turns feeding, setting the bedding etc The hutch shuts well so all the pets and accessories can be kept safely inside. The &quot;magic&quot; of the birth surprises and delights the children as well as finding out how many and which babies they will receive The birth certificate and little accessories to dress them are nice additions and add interest to their pets. Young children are not renowned for their patience, so an hour wait is a bit too long (although waiting is a realistic part of a birthing process ) The accessory necklaces/headbands aren't very easy to fit on the babies and are very flimsy, so easily snap The instructions are not clear (so please refer to the tips below!) Our hutch leaks water (no idea where from) so have ended up just pretending to top it up after the first birth The mamma bunny is fluffy, but the babies are hard plastic - would be more realistic if they were all fluffy. TOP TIPS FOR A SMOOTH BIRTH: 1. Make sure you remove ALL the pink screw pins from the hutch (including the one INSIDE the hutch), otherwise you will be in for a neverending birth experience 2. Place the hutch on a waterproof mat before starting, only fill up the water bottle once, make sure it is inserted straight and do not move the hutch at all to limit leaking 3. If you are waiting for more than 2 hours, you may be having a &quot;difficult birth&quot; so may need to intervene - open the lid of the hutch and check that the babies are not stuck obstructing the entry to the cage (if they are you may need to give them a little jiggle to release!) 4. However I will always be honest - I think the lid on the bottle could be improved by screw lid And also the hatch where the babies are will not close again once used meaning we can't redo the surprise sadly My daughter really loved sitting there waiting for the babies however we did feel one hour was a little too long- luckily we did house work to pass the time! My little one loved filling up the Lil Mouse's water bottle and waiting for the baby mice. However I think younger children may not have as much patience to wait for Mama Mouse to have her babies. The reveal of the surprise mini figures is brilliant though and when they did appear inside the cage it was magical. My son especially likes to feed Mama Mouse and put her to bed, it has really brought out a nurturing side to him. This pet toy is better than others as it is more interactive and the babies come with they're own birth certificate. In an hour 4 little baby rabbits appeared in the hutch! He couldn't believe it, and has spent so much time caring, cuddling and talking to them. They both tried to open the compartment pretty much straight away and guessed that was where the babies were. But they were excited to see what we got. They loved feeding the mum and setting up her hutch but we had a bit of trouble with the water. It just leaked out when we poured it in. We had to wait over an hour and half for the babies to come out and they got stuck so I quickly sorted it out before they saw them. They loved guessing how many babies there would be. I think that the idea is really nice but once the initial surprise has happened and the toy has been played with a little while the novelty does wear off a little. I noticed the bigger version is a bit more interactive so I can see how that toy would be played with more long term. I think having a pet that you can interact with more even after the babies are born is better. The set up wasn&rsquo;t the easiest - and the instructions aren&rsquo;t totally clear - but with some tips I found online I was able to set it up ahead of time for her. The surprise took about 1hr 15 after we&rsquo;d added the water but my daughter was so excited and loved finding the babies that had appeared.
