The on and off button is cleverly placed as its mouth and upon turning them on, they spring to life with cheeky little noises, spins and runs. Their little home allows the door to be unlocked so they can go for a wander or run in the hamster wheel. Both my daughter and son have been mesmerised watching then run in the wheel and around their house. The best bit is unlike a real hamster there is no mess to clean up at the end of the day. This hamster toy and house is a great stand-in. Of course, it's not a &quot;real&quot; animal; but the actions and movement are fairly realistic. It's a fun little toy, and the house is portable so you can take it wherever you go. This is such an interactive toy and has so many ways for kids to play. Our daughter had been wanting a pet for while so we thought we would see how she interacted with this first little Hamster first. And so far she is content with this toy so no need to get a real one when this is working so well. She takes this Little guy ever where she goes. She puts it in her backpack and takes it along with her. It has worked so well for our family. Finally a toy with a purpose. This Little Hamster goes off and on it wheel all by it&rsquo;s self. It has a little door that the Little Hamster can come in and out all by itself and comes with a lock on the the door so if you don&rsquo;t want the Hamster out of the cage. So many cute features. Such a well made toy. Ours came in pink and purple which is our daughter&rsquo;s favorite colors. She named her little Hamster (Hammy), his name on the box is POPMELLO. She couldn&rsquo;t say that so she wanted to change his name. You can play with the Hamster with or without its cage. This would be definitely a great toy for a wide range of age group of children. Also would make a great Christmas, Birthday or just because gift. And I know that having a pet brings so much joy but everyone may not be able to provide the level of care required for breathing pets. This Little Live Pets Hamster may be just what you need! With the random action and live pet sounds, get ready to giggle with glee. The only issues I experienced were the rubber sensor on the back &quot;bleeds&quot; onto the rest of the body and makes it look dirty, and the battery life was a lot less than expected, even though it goes to sleep after 2 minutes of activity (which is not unlike a real hamster).
