I love that there is a storage container to put the pieces in and the fact that there was an on and off button, and the pegs are larger than they used to be. <span itemprop="description">My sons received this as a gift this Christmas. They are pretty excited, and as having a light beige growing up, I was too. Overall, it's pretty cool. It's smaller and battery powered, and the sheets are nicer since they aren't paper. BUT the peg issue. The templates are color coated, and by shape. Which is great in theory, until you realize there aren't enough of what it's asking to do this. I have made 3 of the 4 templates included and all have been short a lot. I understand you can buy more pegs, but I shouldn't have to in order to make the picture shown. Because of being short on pegs per color/shape of the picture, I am giving this 1 star. I would add the picture I took, but it appears as though I can't.</span>

I think the spacing should be a little further apart than they are for the age group it's designed for, and the BFF, and Girls rule I think is not appropriate for this age also. I think animal, scenic, activity pics work better, as the refills have and they'd other pics in the pkg. It was enjoyable to sit with her and help her . as expressed before, a drop more space between pegs would make it better for younger kids.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this because of my fond memories of the 1980's Lite Brite. This is so much better. There is no hot light bulb and no background paper needed behind the lite pegs. There are special shape pegs that my 4 year old loves, and the traditional pegs which my older children like making their own designs with. The backgrounds that are provided can be used unlimited times, so no construction paper disappointment like the old days. And there is a detachable peg container, that closes tightly and makes storage easy. I can honestly say that this Lite Brite is better than the original.</span>
