There are some bright spots throughout the lite-brite rather than uniform brightness. Some spots did not appear to light up at all. On the plus side, it did come with a lot of pegs with many different colors that go in and out of the lite-brite very easily, but my daughter would have liked more pegs to be able to fill up more of the board. It comes with a few design ideas and more can be printed online. It needs three AA batteries that are not included but they are easily installed.</span>

I love that the pegs can’t fall out like the old one I have. the pegs are held snugly in the hole so even if it gets tipped over they will not fall out. The light is not too bright but that’s ok. I wish that you would be able to put the paper patterns that it comes with, directly on the board so that a younger child around 3-5 years old would be able to easily copy the pattern. I did put the pattern paper on the board for my 4 year old. She was able to put the correct color pegs in but then the paper was not reusable.
Overall this is a great toy and keeps kids occupied.</span>

And the Lite-Brite is just like I remember and it brings back so many memories. This has become a new fun part of the bedtime routine. I use it as a fun incentive. The kids know that as soon as they are brushed and in pajamas we get to "do the lights" as my 4-year-old says. And then when we're done we set it up on the dresser as a night light after story time. We didn't realize until a few nights later that it also has a cool feature with the lights. If you press the on button more than once the lights can blink. Which was a cool discovery. <span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to have my kids (4 & 2 y/o) use this new Lite-Brite as it was one of my favorite toys as a kid! It is battery operated and very lightweight so it can be played with anywhere. It comes with all the expected peg colors and allows the kids to make many fun designs. For the price point the product is acceptable, however I would prefer to pay more and obtain a sturdier toy. The stand would not support the toy standing upright. Every time either kid put a peg into it, it would fall backwards. My kids then attempted to put the pegs in with it lying down, but too much pressure would be applied to the on/off button on the back of the toy and it would turn the lights off. Possibly this may not occur for older kids who can be more gentle putting the pegs in. Also, the light is very dim and doesn’t light the pegs up very well even with brand new batteries. Lastly, I wish the toy had a better system to hold the template up. It kept falling down as my kids attempted to start using it and became frustrated.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All of my life, I’ve never had the opportunity to experience the Lite-Brite Ultimate Classic until now. My kids and I absolutely love the art and creativity that this toy brings to our minds. We started out with the first design, which was challenging, but fun enough to master a beautiful picture of a boat sailing the seas. Once we turned the screen’s lighting on, the picture came to life and made my children light up with happiness. Now everyone in the house wants to take turns making new pictures and designs to see the colorful pegs glow with brightness. It would be even better to see if the lighting was brighter. On the other hand, we can travel with this toy and learn of different pictures to create while traveling around on our ventures. I will soon introduce the Lite-Brite to my granddaughter to further the development of her fine motor skills. This is fun learning at it’s best.</span>
