I have tried other systems to teach him basics, but this one keeps his attention. Switching the pages changes the activity and does so fluently with no delay. The book comes with ABCs, counting, animals and colors, shapes, emotions, music and also time. I like that he used his fingers to play and he doesn&rsquo;t have to press hard. There are also three different levels to play as he progresses with learning. As with all children's singing/talking/beeping electronic toys, there are some irritating (to adults) songs but overall I love the variety of learning things represented in the book. I also love that the clock on top tells the hour when you move the hand. We use this for car trips and times when I want to keep my little one independently occupied for longer than a few minutes. Seems sturdy and well made--has already held up to quite a bit of rough play. It starts off with number snacks. It teaches numbers with pictures. When you press the picture it will tell you there is one watermelon. The book has three levels of fun on each page in the book. The second level on the number snack page tells you to count. When you touch the picture six it will count one through six and so on up to number ten. The third level on the book is a question mark level. It plays a find it game to find the picture and number that tad ask you to find. The next page shows you Lilly's alphabets. It has the letters, words and pictures. So you can touch a picture and it will tell you letter A and the sounding of A for the first level. When you switch to the second level it says touch a picture. When you touch the letter A. It tell you the sound of the letter after that it will say the word of the picture apple. And so on for each letter to the Z. The next level is question mark level. It will ask you to find a picture. When you press on right picture it tells you the first letter of picture. Then it will sound it out and tell you the name of the picture it shows. The next page is animal and colors. For the first level it will tell you to touch the picture. When you press the picture it will tell you color and what it is in each picture. The second level tells you what the picture is. Then it will tell you the color and what the picture is doing. For example if you touch the fish it will tell you the purple fish lives in a pond. And the third level is the find it game.To find the colors tad is asking you to find. Next page is spots the shapes. The first level you press on the picture and it will tell you what each picture is. The second level will tell about the picture. For example the teacher teaches in the school for the picture of the school. The last level is asking you to find the shapes in the pictures. The next page is called today i feel. It shows you your different emotions and teaches you with pictures. For example if you press scared it shows tad scared. With a picture of a spider. And tells you the spelling of each emotion words. These are excited, sad, angry, happy, scared and silly. The last level it is the find it level. It will ask you to press the picture of what emotion ted is asking you to find . The last page in the book is called the music studio page .On this page it will ask you to touch each picture to learn what they are. The second level tells you what the picture is and plays the sound of each instrument. The third level is the find it game .It plays the music and you have to find what instrument that makes the sound they are playing. The book also comes with a clock on it. The clock teaches your child the time and the hands on clock for each hour you point them to.
