You can actually strum on the guitar. There are three modes to choose from: acoustic and electric guitar and barnyard animals. The stings are made from a tightly woven rope and don’t harm the delicate child fingers. It is definitely baby size. My toddler plays it but it’s almost too small for him. The little animal that is the fret makes the same sound over and over. The green dial turns the guitar from numbers to letters to colors. I like how there is a low volume and high volume sound.
