BUT its totally right on for his age. He already knows how to spell his name and knows the sounds those letters make, but not all the letters. This little toy is not only entertaining, but it's helping him with letter recognition and sounds.
It's also not too annoying to listen to. Easy to bring along on road trips or when we are traveling as well.</span>

Why I like it as a parent is that it teaches my child letters, animals, sounds and more. It keeps her attention and allows her to play games to make learning fun. The sounds and interaction needed changes to keep her interested in what to do next.
My daughter loves it because of the sights and sounds it makes. It makes learning fun and challenging but easy enough to where it's not frustrating.

He seemed to get bored of it fairly quickly, as the only thing he really doesn't know is how to spell things when it comes to this game. She’s interested in learning the letters and how to sound them out and this is a perfect toy to help her with that. Very interactive, fun, colorful and loud (music). We definitely recommend it.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The leap frog Spinning Lights letter ring is a great way for kids to get a head start leaning their alphabets, and also how to read. My daughter is in kindergarten and even though she knows her alphabets she sometimes forgets the letter. With the spinning lights letter rings not only is she starting to remember the letters but also her phonics, spelling, and learning words. The spelling ring does have multiple games they can play such as phonics, spelling, listening and fill-in-the blanks, and learning their letters. This is one toy that I dont mind if she plays with all day. The only concern I have with this is that even on the loudest setting the volume seems a bit low, other than that its great.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Leapfrog products, so when I saw that they had this Spinning lights Letter Ring, I had to get it for my daughter! She is learning her letters and their sounds, and this has helped her so much in such a short time! Her favorite thing to do is press the center button and watch as the lights flash around the ring and land on a letter. Once it lands on a letter, it lights up and has a cute little picture of something that starts with that letter(L for Lion, etc). My daughter loves this toy and has already gotten the sounds down for the letters L, Z, P and A in just a few days time. I believe learning should be fun, and this toy accomplishes that and more. My daughter wants to take this toy with her on trips in the car and everywhere she goes. She calls it her “ring for my letters” and she practices the sounds everyday now! I am so happy she loves this toy . Leapfrog has incredible products, and this is most definitely one of them. A must for young letter learners! 10/10!</span>
