Her eyes lit up when I took this out of the box and gave it to her to play with. I sat with her for a while showing her the different buttons and what each of them do. The voice that comes out when saying the colors,numbers and shapes, Is pleasant to listen to and very clear. My Peek-a-Boo LapPup&trade; is really cute. When the top opens, there is a button to push and the puppy face covers itself with plastic paws and says &quot;peek-a-boo&quot;. My daughter gets a huge kick out of it. There are so many features to this toy, I love it. My 4 year old helps my daughter(16 months old), play with this also. He likes to tell her the colors or numbers and show her how to push the buttons to make music and extra noise. It is the perfect size for tiny hands and with the built in handle, it makes it easy to carry around. The toy itself is very durable, it has been dropped quite a bit with no issues or breaking. Still sounds great, too! We take this on car rides with us, since it is small enough to basically take everywhere. I am very pleased with this toy and so are my children. I am giving it 3 stars for overall concept.. I like the idea of it attempting to teach colors and numbers, and the small size of it is a plus, however there is a lot of talking and noise making, so I think instead of teaching anything, my daughter just presses random things to make it make noise.
