My kindergartener has been learning his letters and sound and this has come in handy, specially because he still gets confused with some letters, and there where some he would write backwards. He has been doing so much better with his sounding and writing. My 2 year old is very smart with letter sounds and reading colors as incredible as it sound he can read almost all colors, so this toy really helps him learn to write his letters the right way when he actually thinks he is playing. The pencil makes him think he is actually writing and the sounds keep them both entertained for a while.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is five years old and has been learning how to write his letters for the last two years or so at school. He has been enjoying playing with/using Leap Frog’s Mr. Pencil Scribble, Write, and Read tablet at home. He uses it almost every day and he’s not actually very interested in letters, which shows me that this tablet is fun and engaging for him since he uses it extremely often. There are many options for learning about the letters, including tracing over letters on the screen with the pencil, “Mr. Pencil.” Mr. Pencil also “talks” (just through the pad) and gives directions and encourages tasks. Overall, I think this is a great tool for kids who are learning letters, whether it’s recognition of letters or learning to write letters, and it’s great that it is disguised as a toy! My child has a narrow interest in academics and this toy increases his interest in letters/words. I love it!</span>
