It&rsquo;s basically just putting the legs on. The legs come off easily too so this will be easy to put back in the original box for storage and it won&rsquo;t take up as much room. All the little &ldquo;extras&rdquo; this telescope has is nice. Games, explore and you can take a quiz. You are able to take pictures but not very many before it says storage full. We got to 12 pictures before it was full. Any toy that will get my kids outside is good in my book and it&rsquo;s to watch them play with this. It turned out to be a whole lot more than just an ordinary toy. It actually turned out to be a new hobby. An everyday fun learning experience. During the day, the kids like to point this telescope out the window from inside of our home to view things around the neighborhood, such as the birds and the trees. When using the Leapfrog Magic Adventures Telescope, we see so much detail in things that we normally don't notice with the naked eye. At night, the kids enjoy bringing the telescope outside to view the moon and the stars right from our front doorstep. The lens on this telescope is actually quite owerful as images are very clear, even when zooming in at the maximum level. The kids like how the images come up vividly on the LCD screen, which makes it a lot easier to view rather than actually having to focus one eye through the telescope. After a couple of weeks, my kids are already identifying star constellations and have saved many pictures of the super moon that occurred recently. The telescope is lightweight and the legs detach for easy travel. My kids love taking this thing to Grandma's house to see the difference in the night skies between the two cities. The girls (6 &amp; 9) love it and are excited to watch birds with it. The weather the past few nights has been very poor to see any stars or the moon, so we&rsquo;re hoping to do that soon. I do like that you can capture pictures of what you&rsquo;re looking at and save them to an SD card if you choose to print out later. My 6 year old is stoked with the included planet cards and games that you can play and look at. The legs make it tall enough to use comfortably. The LCD screen is very clear and the user interface is easy to use and colorful. I like that it comes with learning activities. My child loves learning with it. The included 20 cosmic cards are nice bonus learning materials. The built in narrator is easy to understand. It uses a micro sd card for storing pictures so you will virtually never run out of space with even an 8gb card. It tackles a wide variety of space facts, has cosmic quizzes, and a fun adventure game! I'm really impressed with how good the quality is on the image capture. It has 100x zoom. You can raise or lower the telescope on its tripod.
