Very easy to set up and liked the app, you can still use it without the app for basic monitoring. Also like the sounds and nightlight it has, very nice glow without being too much. Also like that that I can capture moment and play it back on the app. Picture and range are fine as well. I do wish that you could span the room with the camera, but it's just meant to be stationary. Also, the monitor needs a timer to turn off, when not In use, if you forget to do it yourself. I&rsquo;ve only used wifi connected monitors in the past that required you to download an app and monitor using that as the only option. Although handy, there types always prevented me from using my phone while continuously monitoring, plus they drained my battery. Because of this, I was really happy that this system came with a large monitor screen in addition to two cameras. I like that I have the option to use the cameras via direct connection or hook it up to wifi. The screen is a great size and has an antenna and a built-in kickstand. It&rsquo;s pretty simple to set up and use and I like that the cameras are free standing so I don&rsquo;t have to mount these anywhere. The picture quality is very good and the night vision is much superior compared to my old camera which was limited to black and white picture in the dark. The ability to have cameras in multiple rooms is also quite convenient since we have a two story home. Whether you have multiple kids or need to monitor a downstairs versus upstairs bedroom, it&rsquo;s convenient not to have to disconnect things and move them around. There are plenty of features including a night light plus soothing sounds which helps eliminate the need for an external night light and a sound machine. Overall this is a very good baby monitor and full of great features. It is super easy to set up and install. You can mount the cameras on a wall in a couple of minutes, or simply set it on a dresser or table. The picture quality is wonderful. Crisp and clear. I really like that it can tell you the room temperature and humidity level. I knew the air was dry, but I didn't realize just how dry it actually was. The dimable night light is a blessing in the wee morning hours. You can also change the color of the night lights which I like a lot. It is also a sound machine and plays lullabies that can help soothe our little one back to sleep. I love the fact that you can watch, listen, and talk through the cameras. My husband likes that he can look in when he's at work to see how everything is going. It truly adds peace of mind and I know that this monitor will be so useful as our baby grows into a toddler. The color night vision is really neat too, because I like to watch him sleeping, and this allows me to see him as if I were in the room with him. By having two cameras in addition to the main unit, I'm able to place the cameras at different angles and in multiple rooms. There are a few options on this camera that I absolutely love. First, my husband does not have good vision. Yet, this monitor is so clear and with a large screen, its easy for him to get a great view. The sound and lights are great in that you do not need to purchase these separately. I also really like the room temperate gauge. This really helps as we have a heater in the room and its nice to ensure that the room does not get too hot or cold. I enjoy traveling with this set. It is easy to setup and helps monitor the kids in hotel rooms as we travel. You are even able to have those quick conversations when not in the same room. Also, the five inch video monitor has wide angle viewing up to 110 degrees and last 12 hours before needs charging again. The camera is lightweight and small don't take up much room. When Enabled, you set the Sound Threshold from 5 different sensitivity levels. The monitor checks every 50 seconds, if the sound level is not met, the screen goes dark (standby mode) saving you battery power. When on the A/C Adapter, you can Disable Sound Activation Mode, and have the Screen always on. This is the best way to save the battery when off the charger. All of our WiFi Monitors are DUAL mode. This means that out of the box, they are set to work ONLY on 2.4 GHz FHSS in a closed loop between the Camera and the Parent unit. In the Menu setting of the Parent unit, you have the ability to Enable/Disable the Wifi. It&#39;s default is set to Disable, but once you enable it, it will look for your local LAN, and you will be prompted to enter your Router Password. After which, it will be using BOTH bands to stream. To view the WiFi stream, you will need to download the free MyVTech App from the App store, and set up a Password protected account. After which, up to 8 smart devices (Smart Phones, Tablets, etc) can view the video stream anywhere on the planet if they have the MyVtech App installed and the User/Password credentials to log in.
