<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted my daughter to like this toy because I grew up with Blue's Clues and really enjoyed it. My daughter is almost 3 and has a few sensory issues so I thought a plush Blue that reads stories would be amazing. She was very interested in the toy and immediately wanted me to turn it on. The thing that I noticed immediately was that she didn't quite understand how the books and the toy functioned together. I would show her that the three images on Blue's notepad correlated with the three books she had on her lap. Sadly, she did not understand this. She would press the buttons and listen to the story, but she could not follow along. She understands when to turn the page but she didn't know where she was in the story to follow along because she cannot read. I would highlight the words with my finger as the story went on, but she quickly lost interest. She loves to carry Blue around the house and listen to the stories, but she never opens the books. I honestly think this would work best if it were an app and the words were highlighted as the story progresses.
I will say that this toy was easy to set up, easy to understand for me, and was easy to remove from the box as there were paper twist ties instead of plastic ones. I just think that this product would do best if it were used by a child that is a little older than three and is just beginning to read stories on their own. For children that can lack attention at times, I just don't believe this toy has enough components to keep a busy mind occupied on the task at hand, even if it's just listening to the story and following along with a physical book.</span>

Blue plush comes with a notepad (can't be removed) and plays different stories that come with the books to read along. Perfect for both beginner reader and those too young to read. The paws also have a button to play music, one of our favorite features. The only thing to really note is that the stories aren't exactly verbatim as we know them, more renditions of classic tales. Doesn't both us though! We highly recommend.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My child is almost 4 and enjoys reading along with this blues clues toy and even reading the books on his own.
The toy is soft and cuddly and comes with enough batteries to at least get through a few weeks of play. Typically batteries that come with toys don’t last very long but these are still doing well.
He’s not the biggest fan of blues clues at the moment so this doesn’t get as much play as his other toys. I suspect if you have a blues clues obsessed toddler this would get a lot of action.</span>
