Clue Into Words tablet. The tablet is so cute it has so many of the Blue's Clues characters. The tablet is pretty light and easy for my daughter to carry around. There are 10 touch sensitive pages with 4 pages being settings. Following each setting there is a list of items on the next page. The last page shows all three clues along with the solved Blue's Clues. There is a Thinking Chair button that corresponds with all 3 different modes, in which Josh will ask to find an item. The Words Explorer mode allows my daughter to explore each setting by finding the pictures that is asked to find when pressing the Thinking Chair button. She is able to click on any part of page and listen to the word of the picture. This is great as it helps her connect words with pictures. The Count &amp; Color mode also allows my child to explore every picture. This is my daughter's favorite one as she loves to count along with Josh. Josh will say the color, word and count how many are in the image. The last mode is the Music &amp; Sounds mode. Each word and image makes a different sound and she loves clicking on Blue and Magenta. This is a great toy as it helps my daughter learn more about basic items in our home. She has been using this tablet for a little over 2 weeks and already I notice she describes items more by color. Clue into WORDS does not educate as well as other LeapFrog toys. My 5 year old son was not interested in it at all and would not play with it. Pros * Sound quality is great * Both sides of the book are touchable * The &quot;Words&quot; mode is the most educational, interactive, and informative * The right size and usability for a 3 year old, but 1 or 2 year olds could also play with it Cons * Two sound volumes, but not differences between them. Both are loud and the lowest setting should be lower than it is. * Right side of the book on the bottom left does not work very well. You have to touch it multiple times and in the top center of the area for it to work. For example, you have to touch the top of the &quot;rug&quot; instead of the center or bottom of the &quot;rug&quot;. * The &quot;Colors&quot; and &quot;Counting&quot; modes are not very educational. The colors on the pages are not not bright primary colors for kids to start learning their colors. For example, the &quot;stool&quot; looks closer to tan or stained oak wood color, but it says it is orange. The &quot;bed&quot; says it is purple, but it has blue covers on the bed. I can see how this would confuse kids. The &quot;Counting&quot; is limited to 5. The counting should go up to 20 to be educational. He loves just about anything that sings or talks to him, and that makes noise in general. His favorite part is the song that Josh sings, and he played it over and over until he knew the lyrics. Yay for him and painful for me! Beyond the song, it teaches sight words, colors, and numbers. It also has noises for the various pictures you can touch throughout the five pages you flip through. It says its for 3+, but one option is for your child to touch an item and Josh tells you what it is (window, chair, pillow, rug, etc) or he tells you to &quot;touch the window...touch something green.&quot; To me, being able to name or identify items around a house, and even name the basic colors is something that can be done before the age 3. I am a little disappointed it isn't more of a challenge for my son. It's not teaching him a lot of new things, but reviewing what he knows, which I'm ok with. It may help him with sight words, too. The only issues I have run into is that the quiet setting isn't really setting, and I've never quite figured out how the clues option works. We love leap frog in our home and for our kids because you get to play and have fun all while learning. It makes teaching fun and easy just like it makes learning fun and easy. You get to find blues clues just like they do on the show and figure out what book blue wants to read for example. It has 10 pages to interact and learn with. It teaches 4 different categories that include colors, numbers, and words and it has music as well. There are 32 different words to learn. I am a fan of any toy that gets kids interacting with books and excited about reading. My five year old likes Blue&rsquo;s Clues but my 2 year old never watches it and still likes the toy. It&rsquo;s nice to have something they both enjoy even though they are in such different spots developmentally.
