It&rsquo;s pretty fun. It doesn&rsquo;t turn extremely sharp and isn&rsquo;t super powerful. We&rsquo;ve been using rechargeable batteries that seem to work ok in it. But, delivers for the price. My 6 yr old loves it and was even able to help easily put in the batteries. You do need 5 batteries and none are included. It has about a 20-30 foot range and easily moved on hard wood, concrete and even a bit on carpet.
