I thought I was the expert here, however, I ran into trouble a few times and each time I thought I had to take it apart. He surprised me immensely. He saw where the gears weren't touching and fixed the issue each time. We would do a bag per day to spread out our time together. It used to be as he came through the door to greet his PePaw and I, he always greeted his PePaw first. Now he greets me first. It's proven to be a great way to better bond with my grandson.</span>

This is like teaching kids the rules of baseball using a 7 1/2 foot tall baseball….</span>

<span itemprop="description">It was a nice change to have an interesting Technic build that wasn’t a vehicle.
Unfortunately this is yet another set that doesn’t clarify the gear and pin alignment until you’ve reached the end stage of the build and are trying to connect two separately built sections of gear mechanisms. Step 203 of 207 is too late!
As for the choice of stickers, who thought placing thin stickers on curved pieces already fixed in place on the model was a good idea? A model like this calls for accurate placement which would have been better achieved with printed components.
An overall interesting build and an effective final product, but a building experience tinged with disappointment and frustration from having to loosen the structure and move cog alignment by one or two teeth so late in the build.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I really like building this model. It has multiple moving parts at different speeds and was fun to build and see how they did it. If I have one complaint the two halfs of the sun don't fit snugly together and it takes away from the look of the model. Also I removed the hand crank and added a motor/gear assembly and it's really cool to watch it move through years forward and backward without having to crank the handle hundreds of time.</span>

<span itemprop="description">My son loves it and he's 12. This is one of his first Technic heavy sets and it was a little tough for him. He only missed one gear but the whole set didn't work without it. We fixed it pretty easily, and he loves to watch the sun rotate with the moon. We got it for just before the solar eclipse and he loves that it lined up with a new moon on the calendar.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I got this set just before the April 2024 solar eclipse. I was delighted when it arrived before we left home for a music festival and then our eclipse chase here in Missouri. It sat on a table outside our hotel room in Boonville as it gradually seemed to assemble itself through the weekend. I did not consider myself an Expert at Lego until seeing the few pieces our actual Senior Mechanical Engineer (and our driver) added. When I had to redo his efforts I gave my self-rating a bump up. For a free-builder like myself, this model required some concentration, but was very much worth it. In the travelling a piece or 2 went missing, which at home were easily replaced from my collection. That said, this set seemed to have a fair number of unique pieces. Overall, a great buy. Kudos to the designers. Most impressive!</span>

<span itemprop="description">Despite building sections of it four times still can't get the Earth/Moon to move and rotate. One of the gears keeps slipping with a clicking sound. And yes I have followed the instructions correctly, all the pices are in the correct place. I even dowloaded the build insructions so I could magnify the pages to check if I was doing it correctly. I know the photo isn't clear but this is where to cog is slipping with a clicking sound.</span>
