A few pros and cons. Pros: #1 Door hinge mechanism is very cool. Big upgrade from 1/8 Chiron and Sian. #2 Rear wing lift system. I much prefer this compared to the &quot;key&quot; that is needed on other 1/8 scale cars. Cons #1: missing a small piece; I had a spare from other sets that worked, so it's not the end of the world, but it seems to be a common issue from other reviews I have read. For a premium set, missing pieces should not be happening. #2 Gearbox shift issues; This is the fourth gearbox I have assembled (Chiron, Sian, Volvo A60H &amp; P1), and none of them, apart from the electronic A60H, shift well. They all function, but it's difficult for them to shift. The P1 is especially difficult to function and seems to only be a 5-speed gearbox when it is supposed to be 7-speed. At times it was challenging but kept me engaged throughout the whole build. love that it had printed on logos (Never been a fan of stickers). One downside was in the first box I was short one piece which was needed to attach the exhaust, but as the build continued I found a solution by swapping one a blue pin for a black where it didn't matter what pin was used, and the problem was solved. The Lamborghini was a fantastic kit to build. I thought that for the price, this kit would be just as good. I was wrong. IT&rsquo;S BETTER! It was not as difficult to build as the Lambo. The McLaren P1 is so well designed that, although it is technically complex, it was a very stress free build. That is not to say it is an easy build. For example, somewhere along the build process, I missed something and the reverse doesn&rsquo;t work. Obviously it was my fault. But the great thing about this is I get to disassemble part for the car back to the transmission part, correct whatever I missed and enjoy the build again. And who wouldn&rsquo;t enjoy that? I would really love to see a 1/8 scale Aston Martin DB12 or Vantage. Or maybe even the Vanquish! That would be awesome! In conclusion, if you are reading reviews to decide if you want to buy this kit, stop reading and buy this kit while you can. Keep it up LEGO. I don&rsquo;t know how you do it but each big kit I buy is better than the one before.
