<span itemprop="description">I’ve had such a disappointing time with this build I’m considering if Lego is something I’d even enjoy anymore. Not only was I missing a piece that I had to wait 2 weeks to get a replacement but after everything was said and done, after following the instructions as illustrated, the rear suspension was so loose and free it couldn’t hold up its own weight. But if research and it seems like others have the same problem as well. So my options are now to have a goofy looking F1 car or disassemble to reassemble. I’m no master builder so I may just have an imperfect set which is very disappointing</span>

<span itemprop="description">Great looking racer and very reminiscent of the McLaren car, in a Technic fashion. Great manual as usual; appreciated that the parts were divided into 4 groups. I wasn't fazed by the stickers and expected it; plus they are repositionable on the smooth plastic if needed. It looks great on the shelf besides the 2006 Ferrari F1. BTW, if someone notices that the steering wheel is crooked when the wheels are straight ahead, just remove the wheel and the spacer behind it, then remove the gear, rotate it 90 degrees and put it back on, and then re-install the spacer and the wheel.</span>

It was an excellent build overall (even my 5yo son was helping) - The only visual problems I have with it is where the halo joins the car, you can see the grey size 3 pin holding it on both sides, maybe a couple of orange 1/2 grubs would have cleaned it up & also the Pirelli stickers on the wheel covers where from the start of the season, they could have been replaced with the Google emblems for a more realistic look. But overall, Im stoked with the way it turned out</span>

<span itemprop="description">This is the second technic kit I have completed after the Ducati motorbike. I am new to these. For the most part this was enjoyable with easy to follow instructions but........ On occasions I found parts that should be in one bag in another (later) numbered bag. I also found 4 different parts completely missing which is VERY annoying when you are in mid build and have to stop. Lego were great both on phone and online to order missing pieces. They took a week to get here though. A couple of times I got completely confused as the instructions could have been clearer on which part to use and on one occasion I had to use grey parts when the instructions said to look for black ones. The final build is impressive. Yes the steering wheel is not straight when the front wheels are but not a big deal. The rear wheels do have an awful lot of excess lateral movement though which is not right. Again not an issue if just on display. I have ordered Titanic so hope I do not have similar issues magnified x 10.</span>

<span itemprop="description">On step 3-6 the direction in which you place the pieces is not very obvious and relatively obscured by the angle the model is Portrayed at in the instructions. This pattern repeats in further steps such as in the late 100s and early 200s where you have to place pieces in specific directions and it is obscured by the weird angle at which the image is portrayed.</span>

<span itemprop="description">First time I've touched Lego in 40 years and it's very different from back then.
This is definitely a positive review but I'll start with the things I wasn't too pleased about...
The instructions weren't as clear as they could have been in some parts. At times the same angle was shown three times in a row when you really needed to see it from the other side.
A couple of pieces just fell off while turning it around, a prime example is the tail light assembly, that should have just been the last step.
I never figured out why but the rear differential stopped working after I put the tyres on, I never got to the bottom of it after 3 attempts but I didn't know it was going to work like that until halfway through the build anyway. The pistons in the engine still move as expected so it doesn't matter.
I had to take a little of it apart a couple of times (nothing major) because the instructions weren't too clear, and, admittedly, a couple of times because I rushed it a bit too much.
I'm not a big fan of putting stickers on things but I know some people enjoy it. The instructions could have been a bit clearer for the steering wheel though, I just guessed because I didn't know what part of the car it was and put them on sideways. Doh! Personally I would rather the stickers were already on but that's just me.
I really don't like the wheel covers protruding beyond the tyres, they look good side on but from any other angle they look silly, would have been better if they only covered the wheel, I'll probably just take them off.
And now onto the good stuff...
I could not put this down, I had to force myself to leave it and go to bed at night. In total, including unboxing, seperating pieces, building, taking a few pieces apart and rebuilding I think it took about 22 hours but I am a complete beginner.
It looks amazing (despite the wheel covers), the attention to detail is quite brilliant, I love the fact that the wing moves for DRS even though it doesn't look particularly realistic.
It was amazing fun to build, I'm now torn on what to buy next, I fancied the Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse #51” but so many tiny stickers is really putting me off. Still plenty of others to choose from though.
All in all this is a great model and good value at the price.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Very sleek and a nice build. One nice thing at least I had only 12 small leftover pieces which is nice for once. Usually have anywhere from 25-40 depending upon the item. Pieces fit fine except putting on I would call them the side View mirrors. Very tough for my fingers to get in place. Moves smooth once set up. The one thing I really detested about it though were the stickers. So many and you had to keep jumping between the two sheets of stickers.Took my time building only spending an hour a day. Took about 2 weeks. You will enjoy building it. And hope in the future that Lego will find a way to cut down on the stickers for a set like this.</span>

<span itemprop="description">It took awhile to get this kit because it kept selling out so fast which is understandable now that I’ve built it. This was an excellent kit with some clever design sections that I bet took the designers some time to figure out but I hope they know their efforts paid off. My only gripe is all the stickers but I also appreciate it is a race car and that’s what they look like. I thoroughly enjoyed the build and I hope to see more kits like this one soon.</span>
