It is pricey and o was contemplating whether or not I wanted to spend that much… but I do not regret it! It’s a very extensive build but I love the challenge. Took me about 2 days (once I have a set I can’t stop) and the fact that it’s interactive is even better. You build the game cartridge out of legos and can pop it in and out of the console. The aTV is also interactive and you spin the handle to make Mario jump through like you’re actually playing the game. If you like a challenging build, this one is for you. Amazing.</span>

Le rendu est top, chaque étape de la construction est géniale notamment durant la réalisation des différents mécanismes (pour la cassette, le défilement de la frise).
Trois petites remarques mineures :
- je trouve les échelles de taille bizarre. La manette est à taille réel mais pas la console du coup le rapport est bizarre. De même le rapport de taille entre la console et la TV pose question (taille quasi identique)
- Pas de fixation entre les pieds de la TV et la TV donc pour la manipulation ce n’est pas l’idéal
- De temps en temps le découpage des pièces pose question. Une volonté de multiplier les pièces pour afficher un plus grand nombre ?
Il n’empêche que l’expérience a été géniale, vivement la prochaine construction !

<span itemprop="description">The console/cartridge are intricate and detailed, inserting the cartridge is a nice touch, it can take a few attempts to engage the springs properly, but it always works eventually. The controller feels like the real thing!
The whole TV/mosaic thing is a triumph of engineering and takes the set to the next level. I was slightly concerned because there were posts about it not working properly, but it worked fine for me following the instructions. The designers' ability to cram gears to sustain the giant rotating scene and have everything fit nicely into the TV is commendable.
The stand is surprisingly brittle and could have been a lot better. However it will indeed work if you carefully align it and don't move it at all after it's sitting perfectly. But still 10/10 for this set, hope we see more stuff like this.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I had seen YouTube videos of the mechanism not working for so many. Many people even had their own mods. I was building the TV and my fiancé the NES. I told her that as soon as she finished building the mechanism we had to test it out. Well the mechanism was not working at all for 1hr we tried looking to see if she did something wrong in the build but everything was 100% correct as the instructions. Well that's the thing. They should update the instruction manual on page 42 step 49 of the NES. If you notice carefully piece 6331441 at the bottom cross area one side is hollow and one side is flat. Someone recommended on YouTube to flip that piece, and that's when I notice the two sides are different. Center of Mass played a big role here. The way page 42 has it the hollow part would be facing the front of the NES. That will cause the mechanism to not work at all (at least in our case we have 100% failure with this orientation. We rotate the gray Cross Block 6331441 so the flat surface is facing the front of the mechanism. That solved the problem for us and we now have 100% success rate so far. See picture. Other than that this set is awesome, I am half way done with the build, I'll continue in 2 days from now. I never had Lego sets growing up and now at 28 my fiancé and I decided to start buying Lego sets this year and start building them together. I had only build two Legos sets before 2021, I was 25 when I got my first Lego set ever lol I grew up with the super Nintendo but it's still the same nostalgic feeling. Thank you Lego for this set seriously!!!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this set after the first restock. This was about a month after it came out and sold out right away. About 4 months after that, the mechanism in the console just does not work at all. I have to shake it around to get it to work at all, but in the instruction booklet it says they tested the mechanism hundreds of times and it still worked. So why does it just stop working? When I built it I didn't notice any damaged pieces, so that's not the problem. I don't let it get dusty, as i am a bit of a neat freak. This really bothers me, as this is one of my favorite lego sets I've ever gotten, and I've been collecting since i was 3 years old.</span>

The only issue is the cartridge locking mechanism doesn't work at all, and the black slope got very marked up after multiple attempts to fix it. <span itemprop="description">I grew up with the NES so I loved the idea of this set. I think it's so much fun that turning the lever guides Mario through the level and the amount of detail on both the console and the controller is pretty good. I think it's overall a nicely thought out set.
The television and console are separate builds, so this kit is really easy to do as a family with two different books. We took our time with this and typically did a bag or two a night on each until we were done.
The console is pretty sturdy, if trying to play with the cartridge, sometimes the spring will stick and we'll have to pull the cartridge up rather than pushing it down because it won't pop back up. This is a minor complaint for us as we didn't intend this to be a play build anyway.
The biggest issue for me is the legs of the television aren't actually attached, it just sits on top. I don't like this, it's not secure and if you want to turn the crank you have to hold the tv or it may fall off the base. I rearranged some of the plates on the bottom and used some spare pieces to get a more secure stand, but I feel like this is a massive oversight for an otherwise well-designed build.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This is one of the most impressive sets that I've ever seen. Between the nostalgia feels and the way it gets put together, I was very pleased. The scrolling mechanism is truly impressive!
However, not without its flaws...
1. I'd feel better if the TV snapped to the stand instead of just resting on it. Realism schmealism, if it gets knocked off how many pieces go flying?
2. Please, for the love of all that is decent and holy...don't throw in so many EXTRA pieces. I probably wasted an hour flipping through several sections because I was "done", it functioned, but I had anywhere from 4 to 20 pieces left over. I went over the scrolling section 4 times because I had extra goombas, blocks and coins...and nowhere to put them.
3. The NES deck's top piece really should have been one big plate to make it look smoother, in the section above where you put the cartridge. That and some other areas sure smack of "let's throw more pieces at them just to up the piece count" shenanigans.
Still doesn't keep me from thinking this is my favorite lego set of all time, though. Just not 100% perfect. If I could give 4.5 stars I would instead of 5.</span>

Il m'a manqué un piéce dans ce Lego que le service client a mis seulement 5 jours a me livré pour finir mon assemblage.</span>

<span itemprop="description">My son bought this for us to assemble together. The entire time we were building we kept getting more excited about the amazing features included in this set. The thought that went in to the design, such as the real feel of inserting the game or the crank that makes the background move to simulate game play, is uncomparable to any other set we have built. I would like to high-five the people that constructed this LEGO work of art.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I ordered this back in January, and finally got it after a month of waiting.
This set is fun - I like that there's two separate booklets for TV and the console. Convenient for two memebers to build it at the same time.
There's lots of details in this model. eg. The TV knob, antenna, cartidge ....
The only complaint I have is the TVstand. I think lots of people already pointed out. I wished the TV can be more secured on the TV stand.
I have an old NES. I will need to find a display case big enough to put my real NES along with the Lego NES together.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I enjoyed the intricate layering of this set; and the interactive aspect to the retro tv is a huge plus. Extremely realistic, even down to the clicking noise the channel changing knob makes. Fun build, and hope there is more like this to come in the future. It was a little overpriced, but that's the norm with LEGO I suppose.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Can’t add much more than other reviews, great looking set and works brilliantly with the Mario bluetooth piece from the starter kit. Love the use of colours hidden within which nod to circuit board colours and RGB in the TV.
The NES cartridge eject mechanism can be a little sluggish. I fixed this with some GT85 spray! A few sprays and the mechanism works slickly and reliably. I first used it on my 007 Aston Martin as I found the various bits became sticky especially over time.
The TV mechanism works faultlessly out of the box and no fettling required.</span>
