I thoroughly enjoyed this build, it was satisfying to complete and I really enjoyed the small details that make it special. It displays great, I do wish the platform had a tilt of some kind so you could see its beauty in full while it sits on the shelf. My critique is that it does feel much more fragile than other UCS Lego builds I have completed - specifically the plates towards the rear tires. With all of this in mind please know that this is the best LEGO depiction of the Tumbler I have ever seen and it proudly sits in my collection. I would tell any Batman enthusiast to pick this up asap. With this being the 3rd installment of the tumbler in recent history, I hope it is time for LEGO to look to the comics, Batfleck, Batman the Animated Series, or The Batman for new UCS Batmobile inspiration. I bought it ages ago and set it aside as I had nowhere to display it. That display space came available, so out came the set! My initial thought was &quot;wow, that's a lot of black bricks&quot;! Perhaps that seems obvious for a black batmobile, but with other predominantly one-colour sets I've built, the inner hidden frame often utilises an array of coloured bricks to make it interesting and easier. The overwhelming number of black bricks made the build slow and at times it felt more like a chore than a fun activity. This is definitely a display only model. Many of the armour components are held on with a single pin, and as such feel a little flimsy. Conversely, attaching a couple of side components with multiple pins was a struggle. I also found attaching the rear wheels in line was tricky. The stand leaves a lot to be desired. It's just not fit for purpose. First and foremost, it partially obscures the display plate. That's a big design flaw. I've overcome that because I've put the model on a shelf with the plate overhanging. The angles it displays the vehicle is a bit odd too. I found that my sealed box had contained an extra secondary bag the bags labeled with number 1 and shorted on the secondary bag that should have been labeled with 2. I couldn't progress any further. Now I have to inventory what I don't have and wait for them to come in before I can start again. Obviously a mostly mono-color set isn't the most exciting but I knew that going in. The problems came With each new bag, previous pieces would pop off constantly and get lodged in the framing. Forcing you go take bits off and go backwards on the build. The construction is so delicate on much of it that it can barley be lifted which also makes the display cumbersome. I would only recommend for the most enthusiastic Batfans otherwise go with cave set. I was on the fence to pick this set up. I am a huge Batman and Christopher Nolan fan but in photos I thought this set looked like a big black brick. I saw this set in-person a few weeks ago and I was blown away at all of the angles in this set. I read reviews that pieces are fiddly and can easily fall off when moving the set. I found the build experience to be incredible. The core of this set is extremely sturdy. It reminds me of some UCS Star Wars sets where the core is technic and the exterior are on plates. Yes, the last angled panels you add are delicately in place and when moving the model, if you're not careful, they can come loose. But this is an 18+ display piece. It looks incredible. I love how the back tires and fuel tanks come together. I love the new changes from the 2014 version. The new printed windshield piece is amazing. The exclusive Dark Knight and Joker minifigs are great. The sleeve printing on the Joker is a nice detail.
