<span itemprop="description">This set gets a lot of criticism for its differences to previous versions, specifically regarding the color scheme, smaller size, and print issues on Commander Fox. Having built the new model, only the Commander Fox print is lacking. The dark red color is a refreshing change from classic Star Wars grey and the size feels more reasonable to the in-universe gunship while still having decent presence (especially nice wingspan). In exchange, you get a fantastically solid build with studs on the size paneling techniques vs. the previous brick on brick build, which makes this gunship more sleek and modern. The only unexpected issue I have is that the wings’ size makes it awkward to display on a normal bookshelf. I have to display it facing toward me, which is not my favorite angle. Overall, a fantastic build experience and a good-looking model, but it looks better with a display stand.</span>

<span itemprop="description">some sets i buy for the minifigures. some sets i buy for the build. this one i bought for both. and as someone who doesn't own any of the previous gunships, i was very excited for this one. while many people were disappointed that it was a coruscant guard gunship and not a generic one, i'm glad lego chose to provide us with a more "niche" livery and a unique lineup of figures.
that being said, fox's inaccurate and miscolored printing is a downside. i've never seen off-colored printing as bad as this on a figure and especially not from a theme that lego charges extra for.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This set is a cool gunship with a few bad parts. First, and most importantly to me, Commander Fox is horrible. His chest armor continues to be white on the stomach area when it is not in the movies, his knee pads are white instead of red, and his helmet is misprinted. Also, the gunship is quite small and has little fig space. There are ugly stud shooters on the wings instead of ball turrets, the compartment under the cockpits is useless, and the rear gun is small and sad. The Coruscant Guard troopers are cool, and Padme is great, as is Palpatine, but I just have to say how disappointed I am that Lego has not modified their blasters at all since changing them from megaphones. Most “blasters” look nothing like any seen in the movies or many series.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Lots of people dislike this set for reasons I do not understand. I may be slightly biased since the republic gunship was always the coolest ship in my opinion, but this set is just amazing. Lots of people don’t like that the printings on commander fox are inaccurate, which they are, however it’s hard to notice unless you bought the set for that figure. If you are about to buy this set just for that figure, then buy an accurate version of commander fox’s minifigure at grandpa clone customs (gcc). It really doesn’t matter to me that it’s got inaccurate printings.
On to the main part, the gunship itself is very sturdy and secure. You can fit about 10 troopers maximum on the inside if you have other clone troopers. In the front section it is quite easy to put padmé and palpatine, and there is actually enough space to put a small speeder in the front if you happen to have one! The stud shooters on the wings work very well and are easy to fire and play with, and from the front they resemble a bubble pod. The wings are in correct proportion finally which I love, since the wings were tiny on the previous gunships. The doors are easy to open and the hooks at the back are useful for opening the doors. The guns are very mobile, the cockpits are easily accessible and the cupboards are good for keeping the pilots’ spare guns. The hook is perfect for play.
There are many tutorials for double doors online if you want them, although they are not at all necessary. This is my absolute favourite Lego set.</span>

I am buying multiple sets of Legos now, so when retirement arrives, I will have fun building the great Lego sets I've purchased. And my grandkids can build with me, creating great memories and fun experiences. They will not only learn how to follow instructions, but how to use their minds and be creative by constructing items from their own imaginations.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Better packaging is recommended. If I were the type of collector looking for pristine packaging, I would have been severely disappointed. The box and packaging were damaged during transit. However, I’m not and the packaging will be recycled anyways.</span>
