There have been tears. The legs aren't stable and the set seems to have a tendency to self-destruction - Luke barely gets a look in! Very disappointing for my little Lego Star Wars fan.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I will admit the pricing isn’t the best but it is an amazing build. I personally had a great time building it and the walker can hold itself up very well. The only way for it to fall is for you to mush it over or spread the legs far enough for the body to touch the ground. If you are looking for a set for your kid this is the set you want. It has every thing to re-enact the scene of Luke blowing up the at at. Buy this set before its gone!</span>

<span itemprop="description">Ok, so I bought this to accurately recreate the battle of Hoth as featured in The Empire Strikes back. Yes, I probably have too much time on my hands, and have probably grown my Star Wars Lego collection to an unhealthy amount for an adult, but nevertheless the AT-AT is perhaps the most iconic vehicle in the Star Wars universe and so is a must have model for any fan.
Also at 1267 pieces versus the UCS AT-AT’s 6785 it can be built whilst still holding down a full-time job. Yes it won’t be to true scale as the UCS version is designed to be, but at 34cm height and 38cm length it will still dwarf the rest of most collections.
Build time is 2-4 hours depending on experience and pace, or roughly 1.5 Star Wars films, and the digital instructions via the free Lego app were perfect as per usual.
The model comes with six mini figures: An Imperial Officer, two crewman, two Snowtroopers and a Luke Skywalker (the Snowspeeder pilot version with lightsaber and thermal detonator) plus a bonus speeder bike.
The model is relatively sturdy once built and whilst the legs can be placed in a walking pose they are best left straight for stability. Both sides of the main body open to reveal five seats for transporting Snowtroopers and the rear of the body opens to accommodate the speeder bike. I was amazed to find that the small cockpit section manages to seat both the officer and the two crewmen meaning that all Imperial minifigures can be transported to battle en route to obliterate a rebel base. They were only following orders.
There is also a hidden winch which retracts beneath the model allowing you to re-enact Luke scaling the AT-AT and destroying it with the thermal detonator if you so wish. I frankly couldn’t be bothered.
Overall this is a fantastic model, not only a good display piece but also offers great playability for kids or adults in their 30s.
Rarely enough I would also suggest for a Lego model it is fairly priced baring in mind the size, brick count and mini figures. A must buy for all Lego Star Wars fans.</span>

Lego could have added more details to that part and also coloured parts that don't fit in with the general set colour is very visible. <span itemprop="description">Built this, it’s so fun but it is the most unstable Lego set I own. The slightest bump and it’s down for the count. It has fallen on the floor many times from various levels and I will say that it is definitely very sturdy, only losing a few pieces each time (front face plate I’m looking at you).
And I know that’s how the real AT-ATs were defeated… but I’d like it to at least stand up to minimal shelf shaking (or my cat walking by it). I’m not quite sure how to solve this issue yet. Some kind of stand would probably help…..</span>

<span itemprop="description">I own the original AT-AT (4483). There hasn't been one since then worth purchasing, until this one was released. I bought it and have not regretted it. It is a solid build. I have lifted it on and off of high shelves several times, only holding it by one hand underneath, and nothing comes off. I really am impressed by how much the head has improved in structural stability and minifig capacity. The set is great, the minifigs are cool, I can't complain. I still hold 4483 as a great AT-AT, probably the best first version of any OT Star Wars set, but this one is a contender as being the best system scale AT-AT LEGO has released.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I got this for my birthday (my wife knew I had been wanting the very expensive AT-AT) so she compromised with this model. It was a fairly easy build and I like all the minifigs that come with it. I even purchased an extra snow trooper pack to go with it. My young son loves to play with my star wars lego and it very capable for his age. My main concern with this is how unstable it is. Even standing up, if you open doors or use the grappling hack, the legs buckle and change position, causing the entire model to fall over. This makes it hard to my son to play with it, as he can't catch it like I can.
The leg joints need to be more firm and harder to bend as right now they bend way to easy.
I suppose if you just placed it on a base plate, this would prevent it falling.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Kiddo was ecstatic for this build.
He immediately requested “snow” and then his AT-ST, snow speeder and snow troopers.
He made a fun little Hoth battle ground.
Husband said the build was solid (we are experienced builders- so it only took him 3 hours)
No stickers! Huge plus.
And it’s pretty sturdy. It’s been gently knocked over and didn’t suffer any.
Works well as a play piece or display.</span>

<span itemprop="description">this is a really good set to have although some choices made by the creators of this set didn't really work. The legs were not good. When i had this finished, i stood it up on my table and if i tried to move it would fall over its front legs. Despite this negetive, its a really nice looking set. Great choice of minifigures.</span>
