<span itemprop="description">Okay, so I bought this when it first came out. Built and given to a neighborhood friend when finished. So…..I’m 74 now and wanted to see if I still had any Lego building skills left in me. Not sure that I answered that question, but I finished it with no problems. This one will probably also go to a neighborhood kid as, even with a 4,278 square foot house, I don’t have a place for this large set.
Lot’s of fun.
Btw, I build sets of this size on a firm wooded platform. Easier to move around. The platform is simply a thick piece of wood slightly larger that the sets footprint.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I coveted this for a long time before I took the plunge, due to its size and price.
It was satisfying to build but some bits seem flimsily attached and some
Plates fall off when moved.
I’m concerned about putting it into its display case in terms of its stability.
The set looks terrific, there can be no debate about that. Where it loses one star for me was that this is the worst set I have every had that had the most missing pieces.
I think I made 4-5 requests for missing pieces, and due to the inordinately long time LEGO take to send them, my build was delayed by several months.
I realise mistakes can be made, but so many? I was on the last part of fixing the radar shield and guess what, 2 more missing fixtures.
As beautiful as the Falcon is, the experience of building it was let down by so many missing pieces.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought the Falcon about 7 years ago, it was stored in the loft in its original plain shipping box as I didn’t have anywhere to put it once built, but it finally got the better of me, i have read a lot of reviews to see what peoples experiences where like and as usual there seem to be a lot of negative ones i think some the people who leave reviews forget that Lego can be fragile on such a size and scale with lots of detail, also its not really something you can play about with once built, its a collector’s edition more for display purposes, so if you are expecting to build and try flying around your house or let the your children or grandkids play with it, THEN THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT THE LEGO SET FOR YOU!.
On opening the well presented box there is a magnificent manual with a detailed description of the Millennium Falcon and building instructions, underneath that there are 4 boxes of Lego, as I found all the bags are mixed up in all four boxes so it does pay to open all of them and sort out all the numbered bags as there are multiple bags with the same number for each stage of the build, so people think this is a bit of a hard ship, personally i thing it part of the build sorting all the numbered bags you get the first look at how many pieces there are which i think adds to the excitement of the build.
Fortunately for me I didn’t have any missing pieces like others have had, it must be a bit disappointing but Lego will usually replace missing pieces on request.
The main structure is made up of Lego technic pieces for strength as it does weigh a lot when built. There are sections that do just sit on with one guide pin to hold it in place, the whole model once built can be moved by one person carefully, but better if two move it.
Overall build fantastic I enjoyed putting every piece together and seeing it grow in to the finished product, it is a monster set.
I definitely recommend this set as a perfect display set.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I am ninth middle of building this and have run into two problems. First when I assembled landing gear (bag set 2), I was missing a piece which I contacted LEGO and they are sending it. The other issue is with same bag they didn’t give me enough of the same color of one feature on the 6 legs, so I have one leg that has one feature that is light gray while the others are dark gray. Upsetting on this as the price I paid for it but satisfied so far with the result coming along. Hope to finish it in a week with no more missing parts.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Je rêvais de vaisseau depuis sa sortie et puis la vie faisant son chemin, ce n'était pas le moment pour diverse raisons. C'est maintenant chose faite !
Je suis ravis ! Il est magnifique, l'expérience de montage est au top ! La notice plutôt claire, rien a redire !
Extérieurement, il est très beau, les détails sont là !
En revanche je suis déçu de trouver des auto-collants ou de constater que l'intérieur à été très peu développé au final...
Autre déception : dans la saga le faucon est un vaisseau robuste bien souvent malmené mais qui tient bon.
Ici, il est terriblement fragile, il faut le manipuler comme de la nitro pour pouvoir le placer, les éléments de la coque sont branlants et il va falloir s'attendre à devoir replacer multitude de pièces régulièrement.
Donc voilà pourquoi je ne met que 3 étoiles. La Déception est certes là mais la satisfaction est bien plus grande ! Il faut dire que je l'ai attendu mon Faucon !
PS: L'arbalette de Chewbacca tire des laser vert et non rouge. C'est corrigé avec les pièces restantes à la fin.
Et j'ai acheté un R2 qui a mon goût aurait dû y être ( mais ça ce n'est que ma vision personnelle. )</span>

<span itemprop="description">Truly a dissapointment at the end for a UCS model. I expected alot better construction. There is many weak fastening points on the model. You really have to be very very careful when moving it, even repositioning on a table. Parts will and do fall off every time. One more sad disapointment from the UCS line. I have 6 of Lego's UCS Models - The Falcon and The Destroyer are my least favorite. Just Saying. I do not imagine anchor points for assebleys shoudl be made with one pin. The one pin mounting for exterior modules of multiple elements really needs to be addressed.</span>

<span itemprop="description">My husband and I tag team building sets and we both agree that this one isn’t all that great. Don’t get me wrong, big Star Wars fans here and we were super stoked to start this, but here are our criticisms:
1. The book is ridiculous. After previously building Titanic (which has three separate books), this is one large spiral bound book. While we like the spiral feature, the book is super awkward and heavy. We have a special book holder just for our LEGO sets and it falls over because the book is so big.
2. Multiple bags of the same number. For example, bag 12 is actually 4 bags with two additional bags of smaller parts. It’s a lot of parts and a lot of searching.
3. The whole thing feels like it will fall apart. After recently building Titanic (an absolute tank) and Hogwarts Castle (solid), this set feels precarious and flimsy.
Overall, pleased with the purchase and with the time spent building and yeah, would recommend to a fellow LEGO-er and Star Wars fan, but feel the engineers could have done a better job.</span>

The presentation is high standards, the main box it’s beautiful really sells this piece. There is 4 inner boxes that are also amazing with a blue print of the set on them, The instructions manual is HUGE….

Wife there's a huge book showing all the steps the amount of missing pieces in each of the bags is shocking.
My wife had to raid my Star Wars advent calendar to find the right pieces and she has to substitute colours and raid my spare pieces
Now she is building the external panels and now it's looking awful as you can't hide the missing pieces now.
Really regretting buying this and I am going to think twice about getting another big kit.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I was gifted this build for X mas a couple years ago and couldn't believe it. I had a blast building it over the span of about a month. The details are great and so are all the mini figs. The only negative I have is how fragile the build feels, I like how the panels come off to see inside the ship but it's fragility makes it very scary to move. On the up side we moved out of our house recently, and because it's so fragile I just went ahead and disassembled it completely. Now I have the rebuild to look forward to!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I am 50+ year old Lego enthusiast and have built more sets than I care to remember. I was really excited to build this set and the packaging and general presentation is of a high standard. I enjoyed much of the build process however, once the set is built it is impossible to move around. The set is by far the most fragile set I have ever owned to the point where I consider it not fit for purpose as there is absolutely no chance that you could play with this set without it falling apart. Very, very disappointed and frankly wish I hadn't bought it as 1) My set has pretty much fallen apart and need to be rebuilt however, there seems little point in rebuilding it when the same thing will happen given the bricks do not hold together 2) I would not sell it as I wouldn't want to pass the feeling of disappointment on to another Lego fan.
Absolute rubbish - avoid.</span>

<span itemprop="description">A great kit with superb detail, but after 8 bags (more than it sounds!) The ship has two two internal areas that are just empty space, a d could easily have housed more detailed areas that have appeared in the films. Eg. Medical bay or sleeping quarters (ep V)
The bags need sorting into a logical order upon opening them but after this it was a decent build.</span>
