Et ma d&eacute;ception porte en partie sur la base qui supporte le dragon et sur quelques d&eacute;tails du dragon en lui-m&ecirc;me. La base d&eacute;marre bien, le ciel bleu et les nuages sont simples mais efficaces et donnent un beau rendu, mais le socle gris qui se construit par dessus est v&eacute;ritablement loup&eacute;, il est plus long a construire que le dragon en lui-m&ecirc;me et d&eacute;note compl&egrave;tement par son c&ocirc;t&eacute; massif et gris absolument pas esth&eacute;tique compar&eacute; aux couleurs chatoyantes du dragon; un effet nuage blanc plus lisse aurait apport&eacute; plus de l&eacute;g&egrave;ret&eacute; et un esth&eacute;tisme bien meilleur. Le dragon est assez beau, ses couleurs et le mouvement apport&eacute; a l'ensemble une fois plac&eacute; est plut&ocirc;t bon. L&agrave; malheureusement les blocs dark grey faisant la jointure entre le corp et les pattes sont tr&egrave;s visible et pas du tout esth&eacute;tique. Certains endroits le long de l'&eacute;chine, dans le creux des articulations, sont laiss&eacute;s vide avec les briques orange apparente et ce n'est pas beau du tout. There were about 10 parts, so we took turns completing one part before handing it over to the other person for the next part. But the more we progressed, the more my brother would notice that the instructions would just show what the finished model should look like at the current step without pointing out where the pieces would go. The year of the Dragon! I&rsquo;ve been a fan of Chinese culture for a long time and the iconic imagery of the Dragon is something I&rsquo;ve loved since childhood, so this set was a must-buy. Even the box is a work of art; with its deep red dragon and Chinese lantern theme. Build wise it&rsquo;s pretty straightforward, the instructions are clear and that makes things much easier - there are a few more advanced build techniques in there, but as I say the instructions are so clear I don&rsquo;t think anyone would be stuck for long. The set is age rated 10+ and I think that&rsquo;s about right for the difficulty. If I can offer one small criticism for the sake of trying to make this set as accessible as possible - There are several elements in the set which are likely to spark curiosity and questions, the name plate and the blue crystal (or pearl). Unfortunately Lego missed a trick here as the instructions contain no information about these elements and I think it would have been a good move to include some printed information about these elements and their significance. I would very much like to see Lego continue and do some more cultured sets like this and if they do, I sincerely hope that there will be some information in the instructions for those who aren&rsquo;t aware. But this is a minor gripe, as you can always research the images. So when all is said and done you&rsquo;re left with a completed dragon, a truly striking piece and something that&rsquo;s not stopped drawing my gaze since I completed it. I absolutely adore it and I think I&rsquo;ll proudly display this one as a permanent display piece. I've been building Lego every now and then for the past 5 years, and have gone through mostly sets around 1000 - 2000 pieces, and this is definitely not one that I would recommend. In terms of building experience, this is not fun. A lot of steps not making a lot of sense to me, especially all those connections along the dragon. A lot of joints throughout that I thought would make it a more flexible dragon at first, but nope, it can't move at all. Then I don't get it why we are using round joint pieces instead of other techniques that would made it at least more stable? Also a lot of little spikes that you'll need to pick up and put it on which really hurt your figures and they are all concentrated among last few steps. Instructions are not that clear throughout compare to other Lego sets. Then comes to color. Grew up in China, I never saw that many colors throughout my New Year experiences in China. Color scheme for this set is messy, not consistent, and made me think more of an Indian dragon instead of a Chinese New Year celebration dragon (no offense Indian friends, just saying, you know what I mean...). All in all, it almost feel like to me that this is something that when your project manager told you that Chinese New Year is coming and you only have 1 month to design this, and you'll have to use these types of pieces that is overloading our inventory, then you randomly put together something like this. Not that closely tight to the Chinese New Year Culture, and not much fun building experience. One good thing is the value. You get these many Lego pieces for less than 100 dollar. It looks a lot better than the pictures even though the only thing that upset me is the color of the claws are not actually gold like the picture on the box. The instructions can be shorter and time saving because some steps can be combined. I switch up the pearl to the dragon&rsquo;s mouth and It is perfect &ldquo;for me at least&rdquo; . I built it over the course of two days; i&rsquo;m guessing around 4 to 5 hours total. The first five bags or so go towards constructing the base, while the remaining bags contain the printed scale element and all the parts you&rsquo;ll need for your dragon. There are a lot of clever building techniques hidden under the scales, and the dragon does articulate to some degree. There was enough variety in the build that it didn&rsquo;t become repetitive despite making multiple copies of the same part.
