The variety of pieces both traditional and special pieces not seen in other sets so far made the build interesting. One negative was the amount of stickers required, some of which were tricky to line up. When complete, the cars feel well solid and work well as either play pieces or for display. Although my son was disappointed to discover that the female minifigure did not fit if she was wearing her hair. The red Corvette has me disgusted. The burgundy shade does not match throughout the whole car. Why does Lego now change the style of wheel/tire and become one molded piece that in my opinion ruins any play or moc ability. All in all curves and style of the car other than the hubcaps resemble the real life &lsquo;old&rsquo; corvette to a tee. I feel the hubcaps should have been a metallic style colour with the black printing. True to the originals. Lots of colourful interior (hidden) pieces that can be switched out (thank you Lego). The skull stickers are awesome as heck! They make a mean car look meaner! No extra &quot;stuff&quot; like last year's start/finish lines. Those things always ended up in my extra pieces collection. I'm really glad that they're gone. Also, if Lego wants to beef up its racing game they should learn what kerbs are used for. I'm almost certain that there are no real race fans in the Lego Group, just casual ones. BAD: Odd steering wheel placement as usual. Minifig just barely fits in cockpit, needs an arm in the air. This problem persists throughout Speed Champions and it can be blamed on the chassis structure. The worst offender was the Audi Quattro Rally Car, which is a shame because it is one of the best SC cars to date (build-wise and history-wise). Either ditch the chassis or give us a different steering wheel. Instructions: black is still being confused with dark grey. It's a headache when I have to go back and take pieces from a different section because they were the wrong colour. Both of these problems are things that show up in almost every Lego set. Fix this! UGLY: The 1x8 sticker is much too long for the 1x4 logo it displays. Very easy to misalign and ruin the sticker (yes, I ruined it). The Stingray has this issue as well with the giant 2x6 sticker that displays a 1x2 logo. This would've been a good opportunity to use prints. I also thought that the Michelin logo was too small! Was that to avoid paying Michelin royalties? The top of the Stingray is too blocky. Why couldn't they invent a new curved tile? Also there was enough space on the sticker sheet to give us an extra pair of license plates just as a choice, or even a different racing number. Overall, I love this set. You can't have it all, but this is a very good package for gearheads.
