It has an &ldquo;okay&rdquo; amount of detail as it is not 18+, it is a child&rsquo;s set being ages 9+. It is really cool to be able to get a teddy bear and reindeer. The Santa figure does not seem to look &ldquo;happy&rdquo; but a little grumpy. Would have been nice the get the happy head from &ldquo;Santa&rsquo;s Visit&rdquo;. The Nice List is a printed brick which is amazing! The build for the sleigh was extremely fun especially when it came time to add the gifts. The Santa minifigure is an excellent addition but the reindeer were a bit of a letdown. The space in their backs where you connect them to the sleigh is not square so it leaves really odd looking gaps. I&rsquo;ve had Lego horses and other animal from the 90s to present and have never had this issue before. With the molded deer, this works really well. I have read the reviews insisting that 2 sets are needed for 8 reindeer and I must concur. I would not recommend Bricks and Pieces because you also need the bricks for the harnesses as well as the nougat fillers. There are also stickers that go with the reindeer. By the time you order what you need separately, you might as well have bought another set anyway. There is one complaint: the instruction book and sticker sheet was both crumpled in the box. I wish a little bit more care was taken in the packaging to ensure a manual and sticker sheet in good condition. Besides adding four more reindeer, I made one more modification that you might spot in the photo. The runners on the bottom are just sort of tucked on, and a few gold trim pieces are mounted here and there so it isn't completely flat. I would have liked to have seen some other colors at the least, perhaps more gold edging or green accents, fancier runners certainly, and a more jolly looking Santa face. Packed with lots of details, and plenty of reindeer. They are definitely one of the highlights with this set. Just as before, their soft, rubber-like antlers are great for handling and there's four of them. I bought two sets to make a custom sleigh to include all 8 traditional reindeer. Overall great set, an absolute must for any winter village collector.
