It's upsetting to be in the middle of building and have to stop for a few days to wait for a replacement part. For how much these cost, this shouldn't be happening. We didn't have this happen with the kid's kits we got her.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The orchid disappointed. The other botanical kits are amazing - I feel connected to them, they are beautiful, and are all in a prominent place in my home. The orchid, went to the top of an armoire, only to be seen from a distance (the detail is just not good enough).
The build was painful. The whole Botanic series inspires people that wouldn't normally buy Lego. If this is somebody's first experience with building Lego, they will never come back. The first bouquet probably hooked a lot of people. This one would turn people off.
The pot had some cool steps, pretty colors, fun rotation, but then it got completely covered. The pot itself is pretty, I like the blue, I like the ridges; it is an inspired design. Then it came to the flowers, what a pain. I follow instructions to the letter, exactly as shown. It was impossible to follow which elbow went in which direction. Each stem was multiple pages - and in the end, they could have been built any old way. Placing the flowers as shown on the box or in the instructions was impossible. The leaves are not very pretty. And that whole deal of tossing loose big Lego bricks in the pot to look like soil / moss is just not good.
The flowers are pretty, from a distance. Up close they don't really look like orchids.
Overall, I'm kind of sorry I bought this. It wasn't the relaxing fun build I associate with Lego. The finished product is just barely display worthy. It didn't join the other botanicals.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Given the nature of the build, there's some pretty repetitive parts. Making 32 of the same 3-piece parts to build the vase, or 6 identical 21-piece flowers. BUT the results speak for themselves with a fantastic and gorgeous final design. I also like that they encourage you to mix around the parts to make your own unique take on the idea. I've also never seen loose parts used like this (to simulate dirt/rocks). Super recommend!</span>

The instructions show you how to build it in one specific way but they also show pictures of different ideas. I recreated one of the images and actually struggled a little bit lol but it was very fun to be challenged! Overall, 10/10 recommend. Its a beautiful decoration piece for in the house, alone or alongside other plants. I’m not so sure what the long orange piece is meant for though.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I thought it was a very beautiful set with great instructions, however my only complaints are that I was missing one of the pieces needed to construct the base of the pot (ended up not being super necessary). I also found that steps 34-35 were also needlessly difficult and a bit tedious when the base pieces kept disconnecting, it took me a solid 10 minutes just to complete that step but besides that I thought the set was easy to complete and a great way to spend my time.</span>
