My 11 year old instantly told me that one of the characters shouldn't have been included as a minifig as they weren't in the latest series of ninjago - but otherwise was looking forward to the build. He found the build easy (recommended age 9 plus). My 9 year old also found it easy. My 7 year old, though an experienced lego builder, found snapping a lot of the smaller pieces together difficult and fiddly - although he didn't need any help knowing which pieces were needed. Once built, my kids haven't really played with this set much - not really sure why. They love both building and playing with lego. From my point of view, the model is sturdy and won't come apart easily like some recent lego sets we have had. I also like the fact it comes with multiple minifigs. You do really have to have a knowledge of Ninjago to enjoy it though</span>

He really enjoyed putting it together and found it relatively easy to follow the instructions. We had a couple of moments where we had to unbuild some parts because we had missed a step or put something on backwards but overall it was really enjoyable.</span>

All took in turns doing a bag each with myself and my 14 year old inspecting the completion. Only down side i'm sure we were missing a piece or two but it was a common piece, so we found another in our lego collection. Easy to build, took the kids about 3 afternoons to fully complete, now a proudly displayed in their room.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Ninjago has a reputation for putting out A LOT of Mechs, this being no different. However... This has to be the most athletic looking Mechs by far. It's pretty resistant for it's size when being played with and very posable despite not having any bending knees and elbows. It's far more dynamic compared to the previous mechs, having two more arms on the back while having grappling hooks that could hold it's weight (which works very well).
The minifigures are also really great, especially with that new armor piece for Jay and Kai and that new sword that Jordana holds.
Though when it comes to price... it does seem a little too expensive especially for it's size, in which it isn't as big when compared with the other recent Mechs. But I would definitely say that it is the funnest. A definite upgrade in quality!</span>
