I took my time and built it over 3 weeks, trying to build only one stage a day. The building was pretty easy - especially if I actually read the instructions. I will say that after building it, was trying to its new home and the telescope was not as sturdy as I would have liked - as it tested gravity and lost. Pieces everywhere - found them all and rebuilt it. Then still had to get to the permanent home - fell again - found all but one piece. Definitely should have moved it section by section. Thankfully was able to order the now missing piece.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This was my first LEGO set as an adult, probably at least 10 years since I played with them as a child. And this set rocked my socks off. Each bag was so fun seeing how this intricate and complex piece fit into the overall build. The moveable parts were unexpected, but added so much to the display. This is a wonderful display piece, and the Hubble is also thoughtful addition. It's so cool that it fits inside the cargo bay as well.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Yeah, the mirror stickers were a pain, but once you get them applied, the rest of the set shines wonderfully. It has a lot to offer, and you can very easily change the display of it, as well as interact with it and learn more and more about the Discovery. Very very good set.</span>

<span itemprop="description">As a kid growing up in Central Florida who was able to watch shuttle launches from my backyard, I was more than excited when I saw this set was being released. I loved LEGOs as a kid so buying this as my first adult set made me incredibly nostalgic.
This set did not disappoint! It was a fantastic build with a little, but not much repetitiveness (it is a symmetrical vehicle after all). For the components of the shuttle that required a repeat, you never had to repeat them more than one extra time, and each part of the shuttle created a fun and interesting build experience. This was especially so for the mechanisms that control the movements of the flaps and the deployment of the landing gear.
The detail that went into this set is amazing and the result is a stunning display piece that looks awesome on my home office desk. The fact that this set also includes the Hubble Space Telescope is an incredible bonus. As others have pointed out, the telescope itself is detailed and elaborate enough that it easily could have been a standalone set of its own. You can display the two pieces separately, but I highly recommend using the third stand that you build at the end to display the Hubble coming out of the payload bay of the shuttle because it truly captures the entire splendor of the scene.
For me, there are only a few areas of criticism. First would be the use of stickers. Most of the pieces with graphics and text are printed which is great, but the NASA logos on the side of the payload bay doors and the "Discovery" moniker underneath the flight deck windows are stickers. Would have much preferred these to be printed. The biggest element that involves stickers is the reflective panels inside the payload bay doors. Applying these stickers was a bit tedious and a lot stressful while making sure to keep them straight and aligned with one another.
Another area of criticism is the tail rudder. I would like to have seen the rudder covered in smooth white panels like the rest of the shuttle. As implemented, the studs remain exposed which looks a bit messy. The rudder itself is also a bit flimsy. The panels only connect to the tail on the bottom so the top part of the rudder does not feel very sturdy. Finally, I would have loved the underside of the shuttle to be covered in smooth black tiles to replicate the iconic heat shield tiles on the actual shuttle. Instead the underside remains unfinished but the addition of the heat tiles would have really put the icing on the cake.
Despite these critiques, the final product is brilliant. It's clear a tremendous amount of effort went into the engineering of the moveable parts and in maintaining the fidelity of the actual space shuttle. This is definitely a set you want to have in your collection!</span>

Never mind one of the best Lego models I have built, it is very sturdy and the mechanism for the undercarriage is extremely well thought out.</span>

Je n’ai guère les compétences pour atteindre un résultat satisfaisant en modélisation classique. Et bien Lego m’a donné l’occasion d’assembler enfin "ma" navette, avec un résultat au delà de toute espérance.
L’expérience de construction est très satisfaisante, malgré ces terrifiants stickers argentés ;-) Le résultat est étonnant de solidité.
L’ajout du télescope Hubble est plus qu'un bonus. Je préfère le déployer à part de la navette et laisser libre la soute pour l’ajout ultérieur d’un laboratoire Spacelab.
J’ai déjà fait une toute petite modif : placer une plaque lisse 1x1 noire à l’arrière du siège gauche, afin de représenter la trappe qui relie le cockpit au niveau inférieur.
Je n’ai pas résisté à enchaîner sur la non moins magnifique Saturn V et envisage sérieusement le module lunaire !</span>

<span itemprop="description">This is a great Lego set. I had a lot of fun building it. I took my time and enjoyed it and thus it took me 14.5 hours, again that was me taking my time to really enjoy it. Building techniques are good. It is a solid build so no worry on it being flimsy. Has a nice stand with it too.
One thing that is nice is it's like it is two sets in one. The Hubble Telescope could have easily been it's own set, due to this it feels like an added value to the whole experience.
My own complaint that is with most sets with a plague is that it is a sticker plague and not printed piece. Really think Lego should have these printed on all sets. No idea why the plague for a set that is $100.00 is printed but for a $269.99 set it is a sticker, this goes for the Star Wars UCS sets that are up to $949.99, for some reason these are also stickers.</span>

It’s amazing this is the one set I wanted for Christmas and I got it took around 6h30m to build but had to take apart because I messed up the front wheel (my fault I rushed it but do take care) other then that it’s amazing stickers can be a hassle but it’s better then paying extra for printed pieces and they don’t have the reflection effect. Onto the Hubble I don’t really have any cons about it other then the stand is a bit flimsy where it connects the peg is a bit short. Other then that no concerns and definitely recommend</span>

<span itemprop="description">I just finished building the tail for the Shuttle and I'm very disappointed in the look of the vertical tail flaps. They are very flimsy and would look much better if they were covered with smooth tiles like the wings and the rest of the tail. As a bit of a space shuttle nerd I also love, as a model, his true it is to the design of the space shuttle.

<span itemprop="description">Probably the most well-thought-out lego set I've built. The way the landing gears deploy via spring tension and at the correct angle. The way the elevators pivot and the rudder doubles as the speed brake just like in real life! The CanadArm and Hubble are awesome too...especially the ability to display together or separately. Love the stands for Hubble and Discovery - really like how Discovery looks like it's in a landing stance. My only suggestion would be to make an add-on kit for SRB's and the orange fuel tank...then you could have the choice to display on the stand or at the "launch pad" so to speak. So much fun to build!</span>

<span itemprop="description">This has by far been one of the best builds I have done. My son and I are space freaks and the sheer size and detail in this model is outstanding. The fact that you can display separate or together really sets this off but also the functionality of the landing gear and flaps gives it a more awe. Someone really took their time in designing this model and did a fantastic job. I wish they would come out with a expansion pack to give it a fuel tank, solid rocket boosters and launch pad. If they had it I'd pay for it. You won't be disappointed in this.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Lego nous offre une nouvelle fois de belles pièces, dans la gamme 18+, ainsi qu’un manuel emplit d’explications sur les véritables vaisseaux.
Le montage n’est pas très compliqué, mais l’on prend plaisir à découvrir la construction et les différents mouvements d’Hubble, ainsi que de la navette. Ces deux éléments peuvent être dissociés ou assemblés, comme si vous étiez en mission ;)
J’ai mis 6h55 à tout monter, en y allant tranquillement.</span>
