My reason for rating the ease of build was parts of the build were tricky for her for an adult it would be no problem at all. The build came together quickly and I got to share with her the culture of the Chinese New Year and what it means to our family and why we honor it. A simply beautiful build.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I love the Lunar New Year sets, I got the Lantern Garden last year, and this one this year. I don’t know anything about Chinese traditions but I buy the set nonetheless because they are so beautiful.
My only suggestion for the next year, maybe include small descriptions about all the traditions displayed within the sets. I would very much love to learn new things about another culture while I’m building the set.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This set is absolutely the best Spring Festival or Lunar New Year set ever. It depicts many of the festival traditions separately with amazing details. The most important tradition, the new year's eve family dinner, is missing but they do have the scene with watching a variety show to bring in the new year. Stacking the sets as shown on the back of the box is the only drawback. I wanted to display it vertically but it's a bit unstable to set up the tiers. I like that the set has a 3D feel to it unlike the 2021 Legend of Nian which was just a disappointing flat facade. The build and the 12 minifigs are amazing. As others have pointed out, the error with the sticker on the planter is unfortunate. Love, love, love this set and have bought for all my family members and friends to use as Chinese New Year centerpiece. This build comes with 6 beautiful books with red covers so you can have up to 6 people build together.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This is a good collection of small but very nicely done vignettes. I’m not part of the cultural target audience of the product, but I enjoyed building the sceneries and situations presented in them. Each vignette uses clever building techniques and decorated tiles/stickers to add much detail into a small space. I liked the result a lot and plan to incorporate them into my MOCs. I have built the set myself, but I can see it being built by a family or group of friends since each vignette has an individual instruction booklet. The building experience for one person was somewhat repetitive since while the upper part of each vignette is different from each other they share the same connecting base structure. So, I would recommend building the set with friends and family. I think this is mainly an exhibition set, looks good but does not offer any play features. That said, vignettes come with very nice Minifigures and situations, so there is some possibility of role play. Also, the modular design allows different presentation possibilities and thus adds some additional play value.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The Lunar New Year for me is to be with family and to celebrate! It bought back fond memories and the opportunity for family to join in the build was a really good idea!
I enjoyed the many easter eggs such as the recurrence of the frog, the coin under the sofa and the family photos. I think they missed a trick for the toy figures to be Journey of the West figurines and link it up with Monkie Kid.. it would have really cool.
Great value for money (so many minifigures) but too many stickers and it's a shame that you can't rotate the vignettes!</span>

The build therefore became quite repetitive as there are lots of repeating elements and I agree with the other reviews that the stacking display was very hard to put together. There weren't any instructions so it took quite a bit of trial and error to stack them in a secure way.</span>

Lots of minifigures, many facets to it in terms of scenes, to have a variation like this is more in keeping with the more expensive creative modular sets.
Great value for money and not repetitive at all. With there being different modules a family could easily build this together.

<span itemprop="description">Love the detail in the different scenes and each one resonates a childhood or even current memory of Chinese new year. Was great fun building it and is remarkably detailed. I adore the fish tank and what I thought was sweets but turned out to be a feather duster! Also- gold nuggets! Definitely need to look into why the planter has 'seafood' written on it. I like the circular design but the stacked up style is better but super unstable. A few rods provided to hold the scenes up would have been good since it looks like many others are having the same problem. Overall I would recommend this set with its gorgeously different and thoughtful design.</span>

My favourite part of the build was the God of Fortune section with attention given to small details! The circular configuration is okay but I preferred to stack them which makes for a better display. The scenes of grandparents give out red pockets, and family spending time counting down to new year are my favourite. Of course, let’s not forget the Caishen Ye! This is truly special. Finally, I would like to see more printings on the tiles rather than stickers.</span>
