<span itemprop="description">This is a fantastic set and looks absolutely stunning when finished. Not only does it look the part, but the mechanism works and pressing the keys advances the carriage to the left, which can then be pushed to the right just like a real typewriter.
A few things to bear in mind:
1) This is not a repetitive build overall, but the first few steps are VERY repetitive. You’ll also have to be really careful to ensure you put all the key switches together correctly (but it’s a repeating pattern, so not too difficult).
2) Don’t worry that once you’ve assembled the key switches and key caps, the mechanism doesn’t seem to work properly. It won’t work until much, much later in the build, but if you’ve put everything together properly it will work.
3) This is really a bit of a mix of Lego and Lego Technic. There are cogs and gears, some of which are pretty intricate, so if that’s not your thing then be aware.
4) It’s delicate at times. On a couple of steps I struggled to find somewhere for purchase when pressing other pieces together. One or two steps require patience. If you have large hands or are clumsy, it might not be for you.
5) The letter provided to put in the typewriter at the end comes in MANY languages, which is a nice touch.
Overall though, it’s an extremely rewarding build and a definite display piece.</span>

<span itemprop="description">My son asked for this for Christmas, I was somewhat surprised by his choice, he usually favours the avenger models but, I'm glad he chose it. The design is absolutely fantastic and the finished model is so realistic. Even the sound is very satisfying. It kept my 14 year old busy for a solid 14-15 hours, and he's super proud of it.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Of all the Lego products I’ve purchased and assembled this was the one I was most looking forward to and was saving for just the right time to put together.
I’ll spare you the narrative flair, but I had just gotten through telling someone this might be one of my favourite builds ever when I realized it was missing over 80 pieces. I’m currently waiting for customer service to get back to me and while I have no doubt it will be rectified as Lego is known for its top notch service, I must say nothing kills enthusiasm than staring at a parts page while (1) you go through each step determining the parts you have and (2) wondering if you’ll be doing this again when you get to the next bag.
While I would still highly recommend this product, quality control leaves a lot to be desired.</span>

I have opened the set on the Christmas day full of excitement just to find that I cannot even start building it as I am missing 4 x 6323704 connector. I only have 5 and 9 of them are needed. Missing bricks is a regular occurrence recently but those are are unique and I need to wait for replacements. This is an expensive set, I was waiting for that day for myself for good few months and now I need to wait weeks again! Not fun!</span>

I was surprised however that during the build the printed keys from the middle and bottom row were all missing!! (I checked all the bags to see if i had missed it but it was nowhere to be found) I’m very disappointed and I would not recommend this set if this is how lego does things.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I first stared building this no problem, wonderful you could say, but on page 64 step 80 I was missing some small pieces but before contacting LEGO I wanted to see if I could adapt without them, my conclusion is I could not as I noticed later that the left side went in but the right could not. I was however very much pleased that when I contacted LEGO customer service and spoke to Lorraine she was able to help me resolve in the span of merely just two days my entire problem. Very quick to respond and very much helpful I would most definitely recommend legos customer service. I continued throughout my building making it to bag three but was yet again finding myself missing two,one inch green two block pieces I am however not overly happy with their such a long wait time for the pieces to arrive to proceed forward with my building. I did however have my contradictions of how hard this set was going to be but still got it as I enjoy very much a Challenge.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I really loved this build.
Lots of ah-ha moments during the internal parts- which I found super enjoyable. I had no idea how things would fit together but they magically did; making my brain so happy.
Instructions were wonderfully clear. I’m a big lego fan/builder but I hadn’t done a build with techic type elements before. Really appreciated how each step had the new pieces being added outlined in red.
Only bummer of this set…. The space bar.
Does absolutely nothing and feels like an afterthought.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Love it. It is so fun during building this. Only one part is difficulty to build, the rest of them are easy to do. The shortcoming is miss one part so I have to contact the Lego and ask for a replacement.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have many lego sets but this one gave me such joy. It's tricky and keeps you completely absorbed and just couldn't wait to complete. It's so realistic and the mechanics may not all be on show but you know they are there. It sits next to my work laptop and I still can't resist tapping a key or scrolling the paper. Best ever set I've built thank you Lego</span>

Hi there. While this model doesn't have ink, you can still enjoy 'typing' on the keys, move the carriage and feed a real sheet of paper into the brick-built platen roller, just like a real one. - Henny, LEGO&reg; Customer Service
