<span itemprop="description">I am 85+ Male who has built Lego sets w/ my children + grandkids & neighbors. Was really looking forward to building Jaws, however after initial 5 bags it has become a big not connected mess & too much Superglue to keep forward deck intact . Those aqua colored shoe bricks are 2
of the culprits & after that it just
got worse with forward deck not entering rear section as it should have. Working on bag 6,
hoping I can salvage this thing
W/ play dough. Think my kit of
first 5 bags were not giving me
that "snap" that holds something of this structure together. Looking at my purchases last few years shows I have done quite an Ocean fleet, Jaws will have to be in background. Best of luck & your
skills for all those that come after me !</span>

<span itemprop="description">I was so excited for this and I really enjoyed building it, but I did have some slight issues though.
I found that some of the boat didn't stay connected together in a sturdy enough way, so I had to rebuild a section more than once as it kept coming apart. The mast section was also quite tricky.
I then struggled to get the shark fully assembled and found it even harder to take apart later when I wanted to display part of the shark in the water section.
I'm still 100% happy that I bought this set, despite some of the challenges. It is absolutely worth the price as there's so many litte details that make it complete and it looks amazing once fully built.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I really wanted to give 5 stars, but to be honest the build experience wasn't up to par with many other lego sets. Only in regards to the boat though. Many pieces were hard to secure, and would fall apart sometimes, especially in the front of it. And yet, the display looks phenomenal, no complaints there. I just think that while trying to provide us value through interesting build techniques, the integrity of the building structure had been sacrificed. This is my lowest lego set revies and I hate to give a 4 star, I only like giving 5's</span>

<span itemprop="description">Probably the worse build I’ve built. The boat is so delicate, the bow I’ve rebuilt twice and still bits loose inside. Lots of techniques that aren’t used often , and you can see why , they aren’t strong enough to hold together. The shark is ok but still not very secure. Nice to look at but you wouldn’t want to pick it up to have a closer look at anything. Shame.</span>

The bottom pieces of the bow also don’t make sense. The Orca only sits in the set - it doesn’t attach? Very disappointed in this set.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I love the way this set looks. It's such a great idea and everyone who sees it is amazed. Building it on the other hand was very frustrating. There are a lot of small pieces that hold the whole thing together like the 1 clip in Jaw's body. I ended up having to rebuild sections because a hard-to-reach piece fell off trying to assemble it. Also, it is very delicate and for display only. Once it is together stick it in a glass case and put it on a shelf. Definitely not for playing with.</span>

<span itemprop="description">So, after reading several reviews and having already completed my build I thought I’d leave my honest opinion.
Jaws is only my second build, (my first being R2D2), and yes, everyone is right, the bow is fiddly and fragile, so after my first attempt failed, I slowed down, (the excitement of the build and wanting to complete it quickly meant I was desperate to finish it!).
Once I slowed down and used less pressure it all came together.
I know it may sound weird, but I love overcoming a challenge.
The entire build probably took me around 5 hours, (split across 5 days), (and I know some of you may laugh at the length of time it took, but as I mentioned, this is only my second ever build).
I did encounter one other tiny SNAFU when trying to attach Bruce to the base, again, I realised that I needed to use less pressure.
The string from the mast doesn’t leave much room for error, too tight and you bend the mast, too loose it looks naff!
But it’s these little things that make us slow down and take time. I’m a believer that things in life don’t always work first time, and if they did that would somehow be boring.
I highly recommend this set. It gave me so much joy to build, the detail is brilliant, the idea is excellent and the finished product gives so much joy. I even splashed out on a display case for it!
I actually thought the price was reasonable too.
