<span itemprop="description">I received this set as a gift. I had absolutely no experience building with Legos, so I was quite apprehensive about tackling a large project such as this piano. Once I got started, it really went pretty well. I am a pianist myself, so I understood the mechanics of what I was building. I was very careful with the moving parts, especially the keys (which were extremely tedious). I made sure everything was tight. And as I was assembling the keyboards, I made sure that there was no "sticky" action. As a result, everything works perfectly! The key action is smooth and the key reset works great. If a 68 year-old grandma can build this with no previous experience, that's quite a testament to the ingenious folks at Lego for their expert engineering, manufacturing , and tech manual writing!</span>

The reason for it not being 5s across the board is the music plays from your phone, not the piano itself and it has a very limited set of songs on the app. They need to open the app for any song, especially the Princess Peach song by Bowser from the movie.</span>

I bought this a year after my mother passed and she used to love playing a living room grand as it relaxed both her and my child self so my much. It was an amazing experience building it and the quality is second to none. Truly reminds me as if it were 30 years ago.
My only request would be if the piano keys were correct to the keys and if they had a reverse feedback. As it would be a fun thing to show the song actually look like it's being played. Due to the size of the keyboard it might not work unless something was triggered to change octaves. Maybe like a 4th optional pedal (as non optional would probably upset people) could have you change octaves? Hope you guys can figure this out as it seems simple but I never worked in manufacturing or similar industries.
In the end, love the piano and will give a great feeling like a stein is in your room.</span>

Cependant, oui il est un peu bémol… du fait qu’il y a un moteur + une batterie à pile à l’intérieur de ce piano sont poids est relativement lourd. Cela veut donc dire que les pieds cassent à chaque manipulation du piano… je dois sans arrêt les remettre… il est aurait été judicieux de travailler davantage ce point pour favoriser son déplacement.
Très belle pièce et elle décore très bien ma chambre (je n’ai pas le droit de le mettre dans le salon..)</span>

<span itemprop="description">Après plusieurs heures de montage savourées, on découvre l'énorme piano. On ne peut imaginer la taille réelle de ce set avant de l'avoir vu. La construction devient longue lorsqu'il faut faire chaque touche car c'est très répétitif mais le resultat est tellement impressionnant que les moment ennuyeux de la construction sont oubliés.
Ma partie préférée de la construction a été le fauteuil qui est un mélange de briques et de lego technic.</span>

Suggest you ship between cardboard or something like that. No instructions on making the music besides turning it on which goes off after flashing a few times.</span>

I personally had issues with the instructions mainly due to the dark colour, it was hard to see where pieces went in the pictures. Had some major issues with the moving mechanism that moves the keys, had to basically pull everything apart to fix, beware this mechanism is EXTREMELY fiddley,
And has no room for error. Took a very long time to rectify issue. I would test as it says in instructions to make sure it’s completely working, as it’s very very difficult to pull apart later to get to the moving parts
Little disappointed at the “playability”. Note keys only move up and down, music comes from an app on the phone, and you can’t just play random keys, they have pre loaded songs in the app that plays.
Considering the price, I did expect a little more. But overall, a nice build and good display piece</span>

<span itemprop="description">Aesthetically, the model is nice in that it certainly looks like a grand piano. The problem is the execution ... namely, that it is an epic failure. First, the white keys refuse to lie flat no matter how much you coax them. Secondly, the "powered up" function is an abysmal failure. The exorbitant price of the set was, I expected, because of the player piano functionality. But, it does not work. Rather, it makes an annoying high pitched whine while the keys sometimes go up and down. And, then they do, it is only for a few seconds before they get stuck. Apparently, from what I read online, this is a very common problem with this set. Buy it for the looks, but do not buy it for the powered up function because you will be sorely disappointed. On a side note, the piece was missing two 2x16 black plates. LEGO is good about replacing pieces and I had some extras I could use so it did not interrupt the build. But, still disconcerting to pay this price for a set and there be missing pieces. LEGO aimed too high with one and missed.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Seul Lego de ma collection qui orne fièrement dans mon salon tant la finition est exemplaire! Le mécanisme des marteaux est respecté ainsi que le pédalier, un vrai plaisir quand on est soit même pianiste ! Le seul regret est pour la partie motorisée, assez anecdotique au final vu que le clavier fonctionne aléatoirement (on ne peut pas jouer indépendamment les notes réelles du clavier). Bref cette petite frustration n'enlève rien à la beauté de l'objet (on parle d'un lego au final).</span>

<span itemprop="description">I've played piano all my life and have loved to build legos since I was little. I loved them even more as i got older and discovered bigger sets. This was a long build (took me a weekend of constant building) but SO worth it. I bought a light kit for it as well. I saw another review that said the motor didn't work, it worked for me just fine. but HIGHLY recommend :)</span>

<span itemprop="description">At first, instruction aren’t clear and online instruction do not provide 3D view. It is hard to determine where the pieces place. Such as page #297…
Secondly, I like the cover and the description inside the lego book. However, when building the piano, it is not easy to flip the page and push it down in between pages. The way it prints aren’t too thoughtful for the paper book lover builder.
We like the creativity of lego. We look forward to see the improvement for other master pieces.
