Only thing I see as a downer was the rubber tubes for the power cables are a bit tight to force the connectors into, ended up ad libbing a different part to make work. From the strings actually being fed through the back of the guitar, the wiring circuits in the amp. ONLY flaw I have with it. Is it&rsquo;s very wobbly in some places. For me personally it&rsquo;s not a issue as it&rsquo;s going on display. But if it&rsquo;s gonna get used and played with more (unlikely as it&rsquo;s more of a collector piece than a toy set) but something to keep in mind. LEGO, is you read these, PLEASE give us a BSB (butterscotch blonde) Telecaster set with a Blues Deluxe amp (Tweed)! First of all, I really enjoyed building this kit. As usual, I start these projects intending to prolong them as long as possible. But I get sucked in and finish much sooner than intended. Several people complain about the expense of the additional parts to build a different color body. I actually welcome it. It probably will compel me to dismantle the guitar and remake it, thus giving me the enjoyment of the building process again. I appreciate that, if I do so, I won&rsquo;t have to break down some of the more &ldquo;problematic&rdquo; aspects (like the strings). It was really clever how the middle part of the guitar and neck are built so they don&rsquo;t need to be dismantled. The strings were a bit more difficult in terms of their tension and getting them aligned on the neck. But it really wasn&rsquo;t that bad. I appreciated the color coding, although I had some difficulty replacing the color pieces with the gray parts. This required readjusting the tension. The other parts with which I had issues were the plates on the back of guitar. Because of the lack of support in the middle, they tend to collapse in. I&rsquo;d like to address the reviews that complain about the lack of proper scale and appearance. Come on folks, this is a LEGO kit! LEGO kits are not meant to be accurate models. They are representations of the real thing &ndash; and playful representations at that. Does anyone complain that the people in LEGO kits don&rsquo;t look real? I was frankly surprised at how well the curved parts of the guitar came out given the physical limitations of LEGO &ldquo;blocks.&rdquo; I wondered why some of the white pieces of the face weren&rsquo;t smooth. Then I remembered that many kits that include surfaces that should be flat (like the wings and control flaps of the space shuttle) also have the famous LEGO &ldquo;bumps.&rdquo; This is what makes them identifiable as LEGO kits! I love my finished kit and have shared it with many of my friends who are musicians and music lovers. It always elicits smiles. It evokes the joy this guitar has brought us. The details with every part of this set were thoughtfully designed in my opinion. I'm hearing some people say that the strings do not align properly. Make sure to have the upper ends of each string (where it connects to the top of the guitar) rotated counter-clockwise in order to provide proper tension for the strings to sit orderly along the neck. Putting on the string pieces was my favorite part; the experience slightly mimicked the process of installing actual guitar strings, which I found enjoyable. I understand that certain areas of the build can be frustrating for some; scaling, proportions and design choices may be disapproved by Fender enthusiasts; and some may not approve of the retail price. Like other people that have posted, yes the headstock is too big--they could have built the neck and body bigger to suit, and last time i checked, a headstock doesn't swivel. I'm sure they could have molded a piece to firmly attach it to the neck at the top. The amp, although people would like to see this bigger, i understand the concept on this to give the overall internals of the electronics a realistic feature. But the 2 guitar bodies?? Really? Anyone that is going to build this isn't going to rip it apart to change colors cause they are in the mood for it? For the retail value they could have made the above body and neck bigger, allow users have a choice to buy either the red OR black one with the amp and stand as a kit, for the same value. Even an option to buy the guitar only at about 30-40% less than the entire kit (with stand). Even if they wanted to stick to their guns on this kit, then you should at least be able to purchase the bag kits needed to finish off the 2nd guitar and stand (ie: As i built mine as the red one, then offer bags 1,2,3,6, strings and decal pack) as an optional package cost. I even went through the painstaking effort of dissecting the manual to order all the missing components to piece the black one together. You would need to order over 90 part numbers, then see about getting decals, to make it. And even this turned out to be a waste of time as out of all the part numbers needed to build it, only about a third of the part numbers the website only shows them as active. And its not enough for free shipping to boot for the parts listed.
