Obviously it's expensive - each individual needs to decide for themselves if they can justify the cost. Lego is a premium product, and it shows in every way - design, production, quality (I'm still amazed they can produce such a huge complex set, and there was not a single shortage). Serious hats off to the design team - this is an absolute beauty. Even if you're not into the internal detail (which is obviously a little off scale as the tower is over 1000 fett high, the minifigs ought to be ants!), it doesn't matter at all - the front side is just super-impressive to look at as a display item. So much effort has gone into achieving a suitably evil-looking architecture - everything from colour choice to novel use of pieces. Quite a challenging build too - went wrong a few times and had to back-up ! Such a pity some people have a downer on the set because Lego dropped the ball on the Fell Beast freebie - come on Lego-peeps you can do better than that ! The design is very poor and looks similar to the avatar air bender sets from a decade ago, having no personality or playability. Actually one thing that is bothering me is that the face print on my Sauron minifig does't line up with the eye slots on the helmet, so I don't get the full effect of the burning eyes. Also the bonus Fell Beast set should have just been included. For these reasons I can only give the set a 98 out of 100. The custom minifig with a Mordor shirt option was also extremely cool. I'm now definitely feeling FOMO over not getting Rivendell, so I will be taking care of that soon. I was blown away by the sheer epicness of the model. It's just incredible. One of the highlights of my year so far and has made a great new display piece in my house. I loved all the little details and secrets, and everything fit together really securely apart from a few of the decorations on the buttresses&hellip; I wouldn&rsquo;t say they were worrisome, just delicate. The tower gate clicks closed in a lovely way, the throne room is just awesome, and the dining hall is the icing on the cake. It&rsquo;s going to look amazing in my living room. The only thing I&rsquo;d change is adding some storage for the extra helmets in the forge.
