I haven't felt this way about buying a piece since my first star wars sets. This says a lot about how the movie captured me but also how much respect the set seemed to display onto said movie. Felt like I was enticed into the story and how the universe works. Making want the set more and more I finally pulled the trigger. The set is so true to the Ornithopters in the film and the functions are exceptional. The set is also MASSIVE, far bigger than I was expecting and I already knew it was large. The build is challenging and very satisfying. The completed build does have some visible red, blue and yellow technic components which spoils the look a bit but they would be very easy to replace with grey or black pieces which I will probably do. The wing blades would also benefit from being made of a stiffer more rigid plastic as they are quite bendy and weren&rsquo;t very straight on unboxing. My only other criticism would be that the instructions could be slightly clearer at some stages as the build is very dense and detailed and it would benefit from slightly clearer diagrams at some stages. For future builders!!! During the build the mechanisms seem like they aren&rsquo;t going to work (the wings don&rsquo;t seem to move much) but trust the process and they will work once it is fully assembled!!! Very very happy with this set and great value for money. If you love the films you will LOVE this!!! I could hold the thing from the tail and run all around the house pretending to fly it if I wished and everything would stay together rock solid. A pretty quick build which I did in about 5 hours whilst casually watching a couple of films.
