<span itemprop="description">I love this set. It is a challenging build, it is gorgeous to display (admittedly I have a spot in my house that seems as it were made for it). I think the recreations of Iconic scenes is brilliant, and the moveable wheels is a nice touch. My only complaint is some of the places were a sticker was required should have been a printed piece. In particular the number on the side, and the curved pieces.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Although the number of pieces was, at first, daunting and the number of bags of bricks was a LOT, the build process was a lot of fun and the level of detail in the set was extraordinary. If I could change anything about the set, it would be to have mounted the wheels on standard Lego gauge bogeys - even if the body of the train remained the same width. I don't think it would have affected stability all that much. Even if I were to custom build track to this set's gauge however, it still lacks moving bogeys, so curved track would be impossible. All that said, it's a minor concern as the entire model is in its own right totally excellent. All I have to do now is put up a suitably hefty shelf to display it proudly in a suitably prominent place.</span>

Of course you will need a lot of space to display this 1m+ model, but if you're a fan, it is worth moving some other things around to make room for this! Although impressed with the detail of the Hogwarts Express I am very disappointed in the number of missing bits I have encountered and I’m only half way through. This is the first time I have experienced this issue. On the plus side I have been very impressed with the ease at getting replacements. I read other reviews about missing pieces and thought the individuals unfortunate however this makes me think it’s a fault with this kit which needs rectifying!</span>

I feel it would be awesome if Lego came up with one or two variations on the car and sold it separately so I could make the full train. This set was great to build, but for the price, I expected more.
No playability and too many stickers. The quality of the build is reduced due to the stickers. Such a shame. The extra wheels also confused me and I spent extra time going through the books to make sure I hadn't made a mistake. Very frustrating.
Overall, because I have all the HP Lego sets, I love it as a collectors piece.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This set has absolute amazing detail there’s no doubting that and it’s certainly a collectors piece but for the price I’d expect motorisation of the train and compatible track for this. It’s very big and you’ll need sufficient space to display it, on to the STICKERS never should you see stickers in a LEGO set and certainly shouldn’t see them in a set of this price, every brick should be printed in this set LEGO!!!! The building took more or less 2 full days although I didn’t go at it straight through I did have breaks. The platform is left open at the back side this for me should have been closed off like it is at the front whether you can see it or not shouldn’t make a difference. The light bricks to light up the sections of the carriage are a nice touch. Overall if you’re a LEGO Harry Potter collector then I’d recommend it, if you’re looking for more playability then I’d look away</span>

<span itemprop="description">As a fan of the Creator Expert / UCS scale vehicles, I had long hoped that I would be able to pick up a larger, more accurate Hogwarts Express to join my collection.
The build experience was perhaps one of the best of larger sets I have ever built and that is in no small part down to the fact that you are effectively building 5 separate builds giving you a constant feeling of progress.
Whilst some have criticised the scale of the train, I am personally pleased that the designer went with this scale as I do not believe that they could have done justice to the interior of the passenger car had the model been any smaller. This is, first and foremost a display model and, to me, complaining that you cannot run it on regular tracks is like complaining that the UCS Millennium Falcon is too big to swoosh around.
The only reason that I cannot give the model 5/5 is purely down to the the inclusion of the platform, and the overuse of stickers on what is a premium, expensive set. Whilst the platform is done very well, I do not think it needed to form part of this set and so hurts the set in a value for money perspective for me. With regards to the stickers, I don't mind the interior stickers so much, but I do believe that the decorations on the exterior of the train should have been prints.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This set is fantastic, there's no denying that. It's a gorgeous display model that will be sure to satisfy any harry potter and lego fan. The building experience was great and it's amazing to see all the references to the various movies. While it doesn't run on lego tracks I honestly don't mind it. This set has more value as a display piece than a functional train set. However the platform did seem a last minute and I am disappointed that we didn't get any adult Ron and Hermione minifigires. Lastly the price is way t o o high. But other than that I think these set is really nice and gets hated on a little too much</span>

I'm not the only buyer confused by my extra wheel pieces but at least nothing else is missing so I guess extra fun! If you're a Harry Potter fan I think you'll enjoy this set.</span>

Only thing that would make it better, or any set would be a good 1 - no visible injection marks, should be under the brick and not a good look for a completed build 2 - stickers...... Please do away with them or at least put sticker counts on the box with the piece count. But seriously, no more stickers. Love, the majority</span>

<span itemprop="description">The set is beautiful from 6 feet out, get closer and set does not hold up. I am sad to hear this is the head designer's last build, I really think they could've left a lasting impression with a more epic build, but it was a great run.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Very well designed and fun to build. Lots of detail like arm rests fold up in the passenger coach. A little disappointed that Lego did not produce wheels specifically for the the front of the locomotive, tender and coach. Instead they used wheels from another Lego train set. So you wind up 27 wheels of which only 18 are used in the build. You’ll have 9 left over. These wheels are locomotive drive wheels, so they have a counter weight and extra hole. For all the detail, Lego should have made proper wheels for this application.
Couple of typos on the sticker sheet too.</span>
