<span itemprop="description">Knowing how large the finished piece is I put off building this set for several months as finding somewhere to display it was proving to be tricky. I finally got something figured out and couldn't wait to start building this set. I am still completely obsessed with Harry Potter and it is this theme that drew me back in to Lego as an adult needing to fill time during the first Lockdown. That spiralled quite rapidly and led to this beauty becoming mine.
This is one of those sets that does benefit from lighting. The stained glass windows are so beautiful lit up and I am actually contemplating rigging something up for the display. I was really surprised at the sheer level of detail in this model, especially as it is micro figure size. The nods to each of the Harry Potter movies is impressive but The Chamber Of Secrets is my favourite scene representation.
Going in to the build I was not sure about the micro figure proportions. I am converted! This may be as I build primarily for display but because it is such a small scale it means you can get a lot more detail in the build without it becoming prohibitively expensive or ridculously large. I was surprised that even with the smaller scale there is a lot of architectural and furnishing detailing; admittedly some is created by stickers but I can live with that now I have a sticker fixing system in place that means they usually look okay.
I fell in love with the box for this build and was worried I wouldn't enjoy the build or the finished item as I had probably got myself over excited about it. The build was a wonderful experience - All 8 movies got played whilst I built and then I had to resort to the audiobooks as the films finished before I did! The finished item lives in my bedroom and it makes my heart sing and a grin break out every time I look it.

<span itemprop="description">Girlfriend and I are huge Harry Potter fans so we bought this set to build together for Valentine’s Day. The value is absolutely incredible, for the price you get so many different elements in tons of colors. The build experience was great, it can easily be split between two people. The level of detail was impeccable, kudos to the designers! The only thing that could’ve made it better is if it was Minifig scale, as it is rather tricky to move the Microfigures around the castle, although at this price point it probably isn’t meant to be a “play” set anyways. Because of this I only gave two studs for play experience, but if you’re an AFOL or HP nerd looking for a beautiful display piece, don’t let that deter you in the slightest. I’d add some pictures, but I still have to figure out a place to display it. If you’re on the fence about this set, buy it and buy it fast, you won’t regret it. Great job LEGO!</span>

<span itemprop="description">It was a fun build! Got it done over the course of two days for a build time of 14 hours and 30 minutes. It has 4 books of instructions. Book 1 took 2 hours and 30 minutes, book 2 took 5 hours, book 3 took 2 hours and 25 minutes, and book 4 took 4 hours and 27 minutes. Assembly didn’t take long, but the two large pieces don’t click together well. They come apart very easily. I would recommend moving it as two pieces and then putting it back together.</span>

<span itemprop="description">My 6.5 yo loves lego and has been building since he was 3. This was hat he asked for for Christmas. He got it a couple of weeks after and he loved it! Was mesmerized and would spend long stints working on it. It’s beautiful and the way parts of it come together are very clever. He did get bored making the stained glass in the 4th book as that was the 3 section of it, otherwise he loved the set.
The only thing he needed help with was the stickers because he wanted them to be straight and there were 3 pages of them. Otherwise he completed it himself. Highly recommend!</span>

The micro figures are quite possibly the best thing about this set as you can place them wherever you feel fit and whatever film you decide to take inspiration from. The detailing is amazing also from Dumbledore's Office to The Chamber Of Secrets.
So glad this is part of my ever growing Harry Potter lego collection. Definitely a must buy for an amazing shelf Centre piece for any Potterhead.</span>

Let me tell you, I had a hard time not spending every minute working on this. I ended up pulling an all nighter because I got so lost in the build. I absolutely love the look, the ease in building thanks to the instructions, and the overall fun I had building. If you’re on the fence, just buy it. It’s worth the money. I’m now considering buying Diagon Alley just to go with this and to have more fun building.</span>

Une fois terminée l’ensemble est incroyable et donne un effet Whouuu et embellit une pièce. J’ai pris mon temps pour le monter à raison d’un sachet par jour et c’était un plaisir de construire Pouldard tous les soirs. Je recommande vivement ce set !</span>

<span itemprop="description">This build is fascinating! I’m just in awe of the immensity of the castle. And I absolutely love the stained glass windows! Microfigs aren’t my favorite, but they absolutely have to be in this set. My Professor Umbridge arrived as a factory defect- her body is backwards; I’ll have to ask for a correction piece, or given her nature, it’s entirely appropriate. The details are amazing and it immediately took me back to Hogwarts model in Leavesdon, England (a MUST SEE).
Definitely buy this if you can!</span>

Being the third largest Lego set (by piece count at the time of writing this review) That is a lot of hype to live up to. This set exceeded my expectations. Being 6020 pieces you would expect a lot of repetition in this build. I would have to disagree. Now there is some, but for how many pieces and the size of the set I was surprised with just how little reputation there was. I never though building this set was a chore I always had a good time doing so. Being microscale it can be a little hard for play since the pieces are so small, and some of the rooms are a little small. This does not affect the display in anyway, I can look past this. This is a one of a kind set and The price is good for all that you get. There are not many Lego sets that have the wow factor like this one. I can not stress enough if you got the space and money for the set, it will not disappoint.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I usually buy all the Starwars lego sets, but over the Christmas period my wife has started joining in more and more with my builds.
Because of this I decided to change my usual theme and buy this Hogwarts set for us both to complete during an isolation period after an holiday.
Its fair to say we both wasn't disappointed!
The set took us a few hours over 4 days without rushing.
I have read other 0reviews complaining about the "microfigures", but I do believe this scale is essential in order to maintain maximum detail of the build.
For instance, the independent "Great Hall" set, doesn't have the right tower height, nor does it have the 3 tiny towers off the main steeple, like this set does.
There is a lot of intricate building like the stain glass windows etc, but the end result is incredible.
I love the chamber of secret theme that is interpretated throughout the design aswel.
Another issue people mention is bricks breaking off and not fitting correctly. For me I take my time and make sure every piece is connected correctly and sits in the perfect orientation, therefore I have had zero issues.
I will have this as a display rather than a set to play with. I do believe the moduler sets of hogwarts would be better if playing was you intended purpose.

<span itemprop="description">When I was a young boy, I was a die-hard Harry Potter and Lego fan. I would collect all of the old Harry Potter Lego sets, especially the Hogwarts castle sets. Still, as a child, I always yearned for a Lego set as grandiose as the magical castle in my imagination. If only my younger self had a time machine because this set is like a dream come true!
One can immediately tell that the design of the castle was a labor of love with TONS of details for the most avid Potterheads. The price is rather high, but it is more than worth it for the 3rd largest (as of this review) Lego set ever produced. Even if you know nothing about the Harry Potter franchise, I believe any Lego expert can find something to love about this set.
It took me TWO marathons of the original 8-film saga to complete the set, but I had so much fun finishing it. If you're looking for a fantastic build, seriously, look no further!</span>

Once put together it is beautiful and worth it though but even with my experience there were some parts that caused tears so be prepared for a lot of patience but the end result is worth it. Amazing set great for any Harry Potter fan!</span>

Some pieces are easy to lose. It’s the second largest lego set ever. It’s to scale and is fun to build, seeing where all the rooms are from the books and movies.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This set is so AMAZING!!!!! I love it so much. I had a great building experience and I took my precious time building it. I love the great hall with Umbridge's rules on the the wall. I love how the moving stairs spin back and forth. I love the detail in Dumbledore's office and the griffin statue that leads into it. The stickers in the girls bathroom are really cool and the Hungarian Horntail on the tower is really detailed for the size it is. The chamber of secrets sticker on the door is cool and so is the build of the chamber of secrets. I love the courtyard windows and how they're printed, the winged keys stickers, the chess board, the chamber of secrets message and the room of requirement door, the background in the defense against the dark arts classroom, the color contrast in Umbridge's office, the mirror of erised and the sorcerer's stone, the potions ingredients in the background, the vanishing cabinet in the room of requirement, the furniture in the gryffindor common room, and the book shelves in the library. The minifigure stand is good for display and the boats are a small but cool build. Hagrid's hut with Aragog and the whomping willow with the Ford Anglia make great side builds. There is also a cool little easter egg that you'll have to find out for yourself. This is an amazingly good set!!!!! It's great for display and playability. There are a few down sides but I won't judge because I know this is the best LEGO can do. I love this set and I do not plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. THANK YOU LEGO!!!!!!!!!!</span>
