We could not wait to open it up and start building. The packaging was beautiful, easy to open packaging and everything was clearly labelled and the book easy to follow. My daughter found the instruction booklet easy to follow with the picture diagrams. Some parts she needed parents help, but she mainly built it herself. She loves dolphins so she was extremely happy to have them join the Sea Boat and friends. I would definitely buy this for my children, friends children and my family. It is great family friendly fun and the imaginative play my daughter demonstrates while playing with this set makes me extremely happy. The construction was stress free with a step by step construction booklet. While building the LEGO&reg; Friends Sea Rescue Boat we talked about ocean life. The effects of mankind on the ocean and the animals it inhabits. It was lovely to see my son ask questions and be really interested in the answers. He used what he had learned with his imagination play after the build was complete. Not just a great toy for imagination but a useful tool in learning as well. We delegated putting the lego figures together to the 4 year old (he was impressed that they all had a safety vest). There were some parts that challenged the 7 year old, particularly putting on stickers and some instructions where the boat was upside down on an angle, but in general the instructions were clear and the kids could work independently. They liked the way the instructions showed how pieces would function in &quot;real life&quot;, such as flashing lights and dripping taps. This set took us 3 evenings to complete and it has been played with all week. The kids have been asking google all sorts of questions about catamarans, sonar, submersibles, radios, microscopes etc etc. (We'd love some &quot;did you know&quot; facts in future instructions). The figures and animals included were gorgeous and definitely added to the play experience. I did have trouble with like the sides of the boat because they fell of while building but now its built and its secure. Also its hard too get the mini-figure in the beds. The kids enjoyed putting it together however it did take several hours in total to complete which the kids would leave and come back to as they were excited to see the end product. The children enjoyed playing with it and all the little details including a coffee machine, however they struggled to play with the inside of the boat and would have to remove the top level to play with the inside part. There is a water-resistant map, with three minidolls in wetsuits, Olivia, Mia, and Andrea. There is an in-motion moving feature, and beds, a dining area, medical supplies, a small inflatable boat, reclining seats, and so much more. I&rsquo;ve had such an incredible time playing with this boat. It&rsquo;s my new favorite set, and I know if I were to give you all the details, it would take forever. I&rsquo;m so glad I&rsquo;m able to play around with this build, and all of it&rsquo;s cool feature and side builds. Overall, the set comes with so many features and play ideas, I couldn&rsquo;t possibly tell you all of them.
