I will start with the pros,
Both girls loved the lego characters, they found they could easily build them.
The girls liked the idea of the lego sweet shop.
The 10 year old enjoyed it more.
I would say the cons list would be,
It was quite time consuming.
I think it was quite difficult for them to understand.
I think it is better suited to older years 10 and up.
My girls enjoyed the concept but found it quite difficult to assemble.
Overall it was a good family activity but I think it would be better if it was a bit simpler to build.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially when I received the product I thought it looked really cute and colourful however I was quite shocked at the amount of pieces in the set totalling over 300 which I thought was too many for a 6 year old to build and follow. When we first started she struggled to follow the instructions and got bored very quickly as it was quite complicated and lots of pages and three booklets worth of instructions so we stopped and left it. A few days later we attempted to build it again and she thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and did much better at following the instructions and being engaged with the building process and loved how it was all coming together and how pretty and colourful it looked. This is probably a little too sophisticated for a 6 year old but with some parent guidance I think they can do it it I would suggest 8 and up is probably a better age group. Overall it was great to build and we had fun.</span>

<span itemprop="description">My kid loves this set so much! There are a lot of different types of candies as well as a shopping basket and candy scoops. There is also a child mini, so kids can role play the child being taken to the candy shop with parents. My kid is 4 (slightly younger than the recommended age group for this set) and needed help with the building but once the built set is very accessible and appealing, even for this age. I as an adult Lego fan had a lot of fun building this one.
I do wish the set was designed so that the shop could have an open/closed sign that children could change. Right now there is just a sticker on the door that says "open" which can't be changed to closed.</span>

The first bag had 3 in 1 bag which was a bit much so we took a break, the past 3 days she has wanted to complete it.
By bag 4 she was pretty much putting all the pieces together herself and following the instructions really well- there were a couple of moments of frustration but she’s 2 and asked for help-
I have never been a Lego fan but have friends that are addicts and can feel my daughter wanting to do more. I’d love if there was a see through and gold/ silver collection- I’d happily make more with her and have them around the house.
Will be putting something Lego on her birthday list as the following of instructions as well as fine motor skills were really practised here.</span>
