What I especially appreciate is that it comes with two separate instruction books &mdash; one for Moana's sailboat and one for the big coconut boat &mdash; so they could build independently. My 6-year-old was able to tackle the smaller boat on their own, while my 8-year-old enjoyed assembling the larger one. Both kids spent about 4 hours happily building, needing hardly any help beyond an occasional dropped or missing piece. They loved all the intricate details and fun accessories included, and they've continued to play with it long after it was built &mdash; which is great, because the set is super versatile for imaginative play rather than just a &ldquo;build once and put away&rdquo; kind of toy. There are a lot of tiny pieces &mdash; my 2-year-old was very curious and kept picking them up &mdash; so we had to keep an eye on him. Thankfully, he knows not to put things in his mouth, so we didn&rsquo;t have to worry too much. Even though my kids usually don&rsquo;t care much about characters, they ended up loving the little coconuts and other figures. This set has kept them engaged far longer than most other kits. There are lots of pieces and a pretty good set for the retail price. I liked how you could move the prices and kinda set it up as you wanted and display it how you would like. Lots of small pieces would recommend for older kids for safety reasons.
