From building the three variations of homes to the actual pretend play that my son could participate in. As always, the quality of Duplo products was great. My only criticisms are the family car could only fit 3 characters in, which was disappointing as my son wanted to take the whole family for a drive. Similarly, the characters kept falling off the toilet which frustrated my son! Very easy to put together, and the scenarios were good. The build itself is quite challenging for a 3 year old as there are lots of parts and lots of instructions to follow. However, with the help of my husband, my son was able to build the playset. There is a battery operated nightlight for the bedroom in this Lego Duplo family house playset. My son loves it and won't stop turning on the lights for it. However, as a parent, I would prefer that there is no battery operated parts for a lego duplo playset. The ability to be able to build 3 different design is great as it keeps the playset interesting and fun for a child. The car and the petrol station with the ability to &quot;fill petrol&quot; is a really lovely design. My son kept &quot;filling up&quot; the car and said that he loved it. The scooter is so cute too. The box states that the set is 3+ however i did find that this was rather challenging for a 3 year old and did require a lot of help from an older sibling (9yr old - who i feel had more fun). All the pieces are a great size, no different to other duplo LEGO, so i felt it was safe for my kids to play without any health risks. The colours of the set were also lovely, none of the blocks/figures or the entire set was angled at a specific gender, unlike the more pink sets aimed for girls and the darker sets aimed for boys so i think this gender nutrual colour is a BIG plus, especially for gifting. I loved that the house was themed with a sustainability mindset with solar panels, compost and an electric car with charger. I am also a sustainable person myself and have solar panels on my roof and a compost bin so we really can relate positively to this playset. I thought the playset was very well structured with the 3 in 1 option to provide more value and variety to families. The instructions were easy to follow for children as well and very clear. There are lots of characters which the kids enjoy playing with, car included was a pleasant surprise. A great set that interest my girls as well as they play family home by roleplaying with the characters. Having the garden bed and rubbish bins provide a chance to explain as well about recycling and growing plants at home/gardening. The kids were surprised and please by the night light, another thing they could closely relate to. Being able to build different houses from one set is great as it provides variety and the kids don't grow bored too easily. Setting up the main design was a breeze to build and as an adult it was actually fun. Once built, my 4 year face lit up the whole room with excitement. He's currently seeing a speech therapist as I must say watching him play, talking about how things go into the bin, up the stairs, under the blanket was helping open up his communication and explanations. This 3 in 1 duplo house as functional items such as toilet seat, draws, mixer and windows and doors. It offers a cute light up night light with an assortment of colour lights to choose from. The 3 in 1 offers 3 house designs or come up with your design. The build is strong and very high quality. Since my daughter has gotten older she&rsquo;s very much into building with Duplo so she was very very excited to play with this set. First thing she asked was let build the big house mummy! This kept her engaged for hours everyday and she&rsquo;s still playing with it. The house has many parts like car, people, scooter, pets and loads of other things to make and change up. The set challenged my daughter to follow the pictures of the very user friendly and kid appropriate booklet on how to make these. She needed some help putting certain things together but I loved spending this time as a family building and helping her watch the big house come alive. The next day we made the smaller house as per booklet and yet to finish the last as she&rsquo;s too busy building other things from these blocks. Having this set is amazing as it&rsquo;s very versatile and keeps her entertained for hours. The Lego duplo pieces are the perfect size for his hands and he can get very creative with all the pieces. We built the set together in an afternoon. There were lots of really cool accessories he enjoyed like the car charger, light up star and kitchen mixer machine (which we haven&rsquo;t seen before in other Duplo sets we own). Another great thing about Lego duplo is that the pieces are all compatible with other sets. The quality is very high, so you can keep them a long time and it remains very sturdy. Felt the packaging was to miss matched and would have worked better having the same pieces in one bag. Slowly worked it out and while I think the instructions are a great idea would have been good to have arrows to show where that steps of the parts go as can seem hard to find places further along you go. But overall the end result was great and fun and the kids enjoyed themselves. I do not think is good for kids too young as my 22 month old just wanted to throw the pieces around. She just didn&rsquo;t understand. I did the building of the house while my 21 month old played with the little people. He absolutely loves this Lego house. It has been his go to toy since we got it. He loves the little people and will pretend to walk them up the ladder and into the bed it is such a good imaginative toy. He loves to turn on the light and move it into the different rooms. He has great fun with the car pretending to plug it in. He helped build it with me (didn&rsquo;t put the correct parts on but helped as best as he could). It took around 30 mins to make the whole house, which isn&rsquo;t bad at all. The only thing that was frustrating is, the parts were all in different bags. Ie, you build the bathroom first but all the pieces were in different bags. As the lego was pouring out of the box there were excited laughing from the children. The packages were easy to open. The instructions are easy to read and have some wonderful illustrations, children had a great time making up stories to go with the illustrations in the instructions. The steps in the instructions were easy to read and the children were happy to read and look for the parts we needed. In some steps multiple package bags were needed to be opened to complete a step. As the buildings took shape the children were so excited to make the next step and next floor. Once the building was up we set up the people and made sure everyone had a bed to sleep in for the night. The children made sure each person had their own voice and their own jobs than need to be done on the house. We didn&rsquo;t see the instruction book right away and we struggled for a little while. But it started to go smoothly after we found the book. It will be a lot easier if pieces are grouped together by category or by type. Most of the times we have to look through each bag to find the piece we need. But overall, we enjoyed building it. My little one keeps saying wow all the time. Also, the size is just enough for my baby&rsquo;s small hands. She can put each piece together without difficulty. And she loves the car the most. I think I&rsquo;m the one who enjoyed building more than my LO hahha! It&rsquo;s really a great way to have some quality and fun time with our kids. She wanted to get into it straight away. We love that there are options to create different types of living structures (apartment or house or small rooms). She's arounded 2 and half and needed help building the house which was quite easy. It took us about 30-35 mins max. I love that the blocks can also be used for creative play when she wanted to build other things by herself. The set is very multiculturally diverse compromising of a family of five and two adorable pets (cat and dog). The quality is high as expected from duplo. Durable and bright. My daughter wasn't frustrated when she put the blocks herself. This is her favorite toy at the moment. Every morning she plays with the house as soon as she wakes up. When I opened the box, I was surprised with the size of lego pieces! They are perfect size for both my 21 month old and 4 years old. I don&rsquo;t need to worry about losing it so easily because they are quite visible and easy to hold. My 21 month old immediately stacks up a high tower while holding the little cat in another hand. My 4 year old on the other hand, concentrates on finding pieces to assemble the house. Firstly, the quality of this set was wonderful, the pieces hold together well and were solid. Secondly, these pieces are not like those small Lego pieces that are so easy (yet annoying and painful..ouch!) to step on, they are the bigger Lego pieces which make the play set look more realistic and much harder to lose pieces. My kids absolutely had a ball making this family house and so did I! This is a great play set to get the whole family involved in building it as it&rsquo;s not just for kids!
