This is one of Lego's best art to date with a skyline's striking color mix and will definitely stand out as a backdrop. The creative design by Lego team in building technique is amazing as it's non-repetitive at all and the meticulous panel and brick combination renders it all flawlessly. With an investment of this, you would expect some printed panel pieces, however, an abundance in sticker inclusion is not acceptable. This is the one of the major drawbacks. In addition, the minifigures are average at best. For the price a couple more should have been included (Penguin and Riddler). The prints on the Catwoman and Joker are inaccurate to some extent. Also: since it&rsquo;s such a unique build, you&rsquo;ve really gotta watch what you&rsquo;re doing - not in a stressful way, but in a challenging one. It&rsquo;s a beautiful piece of art when it&rsquo;s all done, too. I took my time with this one, doled out my build sessions in small increments, and enjoyed every minute of it, even when I had to go back and fix errors lol. Unfortunately, while building the set I have ran a cross the problem of the back pieces, which supposed to keep the different sections together, refused to stay in its place and kept popping out. Ultimately, I had to use super glue to glue down those pieces because I did not want my countless hours I spent on this set to go to waste by the whole thing falling into pieces. This will no doubt will make it difficult in the future to transport it when and if I need to move but so be it ;). The instructions at times were unclear and had random perspective changes (that at times didn't make sense). It would've been easier to follow this intense build from a Birdseye perspective, not random 45 degrees where I can't tell where my next piece goes. The coloring of the pieces were really dark and it was hard sometimes to figure out what color piece I needed and whether it was the flat piece or not. I brought this set as it was flat to build after i had surgery, from receiving the box it was hard to wait and not build it straight away, the box art doesn't do it justice to how it looks built. The way you build tile by tile and build a skyline then a city, and then build onto that city to give some pretty incredible detail is wonderful. They use a range of building techniques throughout the build which changes things up and makes it fresh and not boring, there are so many hidden tiles that show Batman's villains and building this up and putting it together, then being able to remove buildings to show another level of detail is a fantastic idea. I half built this laying down and half stood up for something to do while i was getting back on my feet, and i thoroughly enjoyed every part of this build, to have a somewhat colourful batman set is also a massive bonus! The mini-figure lineup is amazing, the batman has a 2 tone helmet so the white eyes are inset (nomore white lines on foreheads) and the joker and harley are absolutely incredible, personally i would've loved a riddler mini-figure rather than catwoman, but he is my fav so personal preference!
