It took my 12 yr old granddaughter and myself a few weekends to create all 3 structures (but we also had help from cats and a dog with a long wagging tail lol). Challenging but not difficult-and in true Lego fashion sturdy and solid once built. While I am impressed with all of the details of the decorative pieces she absolutely fell in love with the little shark when he was built(big Shark Week/Sharknado fans) We really loved that the biggest part of the structures are constructed with the regular Lego bricks we are used to and not solid preformed pieces or sheets. The different colors add additional dimension and a more realistic look, and the lattice pieces really make the structures pop.The little characters crack me up, that skeleton is hilarious..and being able to change faces adds a new level to Pirate play. Once built these creations kept us engaged for hours of swashbuckling entertainment, seriously good old fashioned play for all of us :)</span>

The instruction booklets for each build are included. We decided to build the actual pirate ship itself. The build took my 12 year old a couple days, working for 2-3 hours each time. He didn’t rush to build it, so I’m sure it could be built quicker. The features of the built ship are pretty awesome! Our favorite parts were the sail of the ship and the working cannons! They actually shoot little cannonballs out of them, my boys thought this was so cool. The pirate ship comes with a few different Lego mini figures and an awesome shark with working jaws! This has by far been my sons favorite LEGO build he has done.</span>

We had an amazing time putting it together. My 12 year old grandson loves LEGO's and Pirates so this was a home run hit for this Grandma! It wasn't as hard as I was expecting it to be but it was still a bit of a challenge. Between work and school stuff we had it done in 4 evenings and it looked great. I like the size of it (not too big but not small either). He is proudly displaying it on his night stand. But we are definitely going to do the Skull Island as soon as he gets ready to take it apart. Lego has been a favorite in our home for years and this one was no exception- great product!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I built this set with my son over three nights and it is a very detailed and interesting set.
It can be quite challenging in parts but is a hugely satisfying build.
The construction of the ship's hull is fantastic and with the addition of a few more pirates from the sets from my youth have added a nice little raiding party to this.
Playability wise my son absolutely loves this and has not stopped playing with it since we finished it.
For the price I think this is a fantastic set.</span>

<span itemprop="description">In term of color, this is, and by far, the most beautiful pirate ship ever made by LEGO. A great size for the price. I thought I was going to be disappointed by the sails made of brick, but in fact, I find these very cool looking. But the set is not perfect, for there are 3 negative points. First, the center plaques of the bottom of the ship are dark tan (??????), which swears a lot with the rest of the ship color, which is brown (see attached file). Second negative point, the ship looks a bit too chubby. A few centimeters added to the overall length would have been a lot better for the ship silhouette. And third, the siren on the front of the ship is absolutely horrible lol. I will definitely modify it, or just litteraly remove it and make a better one on my own. In summary, I give this set a score of 3.5 out of 5.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Set très agréable à monter, j'ai commencé par le bateau, vu que les sachets sont numérotés dans l'ordre pour le faire. Le rendu est vraiment topissime, plein de détails... Les 2 autres modèles sont aussi sympa (la taverne s'ouvre, et pour l'île le crâne a un mécanique pour le faire bouger)
Maintenant qu'on a fait les 3 on a plus qu'à refaire le bateau car c'est vraiment le plus beau, je laisserai peut être mon fils le monter cette fois ci !!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I like that it's all brick built and not a very repetitive build. The color palette really makes everything pop. I "borrowed" one minifig from my barracuda Bay and stored the shark, though clever, and the seagull. Those were a bit cartoonish but maybe just right for the younger builders. Overall, very well done and entertaining.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Qui n'a jamais rêver de posséder un jeu faisant travailler la réflexion tout autant que l'imaginaire et qui surtout vous tienne en haleine durant des heures si bien que vous ne voyez pas le temps passer ? C'est ce que vous trouverez avec ce set. Ce coffret a instantanément suscité l'intérêt de mes deux garçons. Il faut dire que la boite avec ses magnifiques illustrations captivait le regard. Mes fils ont retrouvé ici un univers qu'ils connaissent bien : le thème des pirates. Déjà bercés par des références cinématographiques sur ce thème, ils n'ont eu aucun mal à se projeter dans cet univers quand est venu le moment pour eux de jouer avec leurs constructions. A l'ouverture de la boite, on découvre 1264 pièces, intelligemment réparties en 9 sachets numérotés, ainsi que 2 livrets de constructions particulièrement bien détaillés de 326 pages pour l'un (pour réaliser le bateau et l'auberge) et de 99 pages pour l'autre (pour réaliser l'île). Ce dernier a la spécificité de comporter à la fin 3 pages recensant les différentes pièces contenues dans le set ainsi que leur nombre. A l'aperçu de toutes ces choses, on se rend vite compte que ce joli jouet va nous occuper durant une bonne partie de nos journées pour notre plus grand plaisir. Le gros point fort de ce jeu est qu'il offre trois possibilités différentes de création pour un même set : un bateau pirate authentique, une auberge de pirates rustique et une mystérieuse île au crâne. Le plus dur pour mes enfants a été de défaire un modèle pour en construire un autre tant ils s'y étaient attachés et voulaient le conserver. Mais cette tristesse passagère fut presque aussitôt balayée par une fulgurante envie de découvrir les autres modèles. Le bateau pirate est, à mon sens, la réalisation la plus aboutie et surtout la plus époustouflante de ce set. J'ai été subjugué par ce modèle que j'ai trouvé particulièrement splendide tant les détails qui le composent sont empreints de réalisme : cabine du capitaine, figure de proue, mâts, grandes voiles mobiles, vigie, gouvernail et ancre. Rien n'a été laissé au hasard. Sa taille est également impressionnante. En effet, il mesure plus de 46 cm de long, 37 cm de haut et 19 cm de large. Entre 2 et 4h de montage sont nécessaires pour achever sa construction. La multitude d'accessoires présents a également beaucoup enthousiasmé mes enfants : des figurines (un capitaine, deux membres d'équipage et un squelette) aux animaux à construire (un requin et un perroquet) en passant par les canons et le coffre. Ils se sont rapidement appropriés les objets crées ainsi que les personnages pour imaginer des histoires les mettant en scène dans des aventures plus palpitantes les unes que les autres. D'autre part, je tiens également à souligner que l'âge minimal conseillé de 9 ans est, selon moi, judicieusement bien choisi. En effet, l'un de mes fils a cet âge et à aucun moment il n'a sollicité mon aide pour arriver au bout des différentes constructions. Le montage ne lui a pas posé de difficulté particulière. Il faut dire que les manuels de constructions avec leurs illustrations sont clairs, précis et merveilleusement bien détaillés. Alors, pour toutes ces raisons, je vous recommande vivement le set LEGO Creator 3-en-1 Le bateau pirate (31109). Il ravira les petits aventuriers en herbe en quête de découvertes et d'exploration tout autant que les adultes ayant gardé leur âme d'enfant.</span>

Idéal dès 9-10 ans , ce LEGO permet de développer la créativité, la minutie et fait appel à leur patience. Après quelques heures de montage, il aura fallu 2 demi-journée chez nous, le résultat est spectaculaire. Il a bluffé petits et grands, même les adultes retombent systématiquement en enfance devant ce magnifique bateau de pirates. <span itemprop="description">Mon fils adore les Lego et je ne pensais pas qu'il apprécierait ce modèle avec les pirates (il est plutôt fan des véhicules) mais finalement il a autant apprécier que tous les autres modèles qu'il a déjà pu fabriquer. Les personnages sont intéressants et réalistes (bandeau, jambe de bois) et petites touches sympas avec le requin, le perroquet et le squelette.
Le bateau est super également avec la cabine, la figure de proue, les voiles... plein de détails et les accessoires (canon, coffre) sont une touche en plus et permettent de créer de belles histoires après la fabrication du bateau.
Ce qui est génial c'est qu'une fois qu'on s'est lassé du bateau on peut faire les autres modèles (l'auberge des pirates ou l'île au crâne) vu qu'il s'agit d'un Lego Creator.
Encore 2 possibilités de créations et une multitude d'histoires à inventer.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I was so excited to but this for my nephew who loves pirates and Lego. On closer inspection was disappointed to see an apparent really lack of gender diversity. Correct me if I'm wrong, but are all of the pirate figures male? There were lots of famous and powerful female pirates in history. Disappointing Lego.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I'm just going to compare it to barracuda bay and say while i love that set for scale and nostalgia..this is a better deal. A very versatile set. The main ship build is complete. My only gripe is they could have used more of the spare parts on the side builds.. but they are still very good builds with useful play features. The set is basically perfect.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Le plus difficile à été de faire choisir nos enfants de 6 et 8 ans quel modèle construire en premier. ils se sont finalement décidé par le bateau. Quelle joie pour eux de pouvoir créer en autonomie tout en donnant vie au Lego.
Comme à son habitude la gamme Créator offre des possibilités de jeux et ouvre l'esprit de nos enfants à la créativité. Les parents sont eux aussi ravis de pouvoir également participer. La qualité des pièces est exemplaire et les différents modes d'emplois, bien détaillés. merci</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have always liked my pirate ships and so when I first saw it was attracted to it ! I was a little put off by the plastic sails but I took a gamble.
Wow, I am impressed. The details are amazing, love the fact that it’s all built via “blocks” - no preformed hulls - amazing how the contours of the hull come together. It’s very elegant !!
The scale is just right for a Lego pirate. Scale is probably one of the things that has impressed me most - it’s just right.
The dreaded sails work ! The guy ropes compliment the look.
Great build!! May have to buy another for an MOC.

Pros.
Full brick built, no solid hull or cloth sails
Awesome little shark build to get you started.
Very detailed and lots of texture variety
Opening captain's cabin, the top and both sides open
Cons
It's a tad small, making it 2-4 studs longer would have made it more impressive.
The pirate flag hanging on the back, the bird and the skull and crossbones on the sails all don't look quite right.
Price while good for the part count is too high.
The 2 lanterns on the back easily fall off</span>

<span itemprop="description">A l’ouverture de la boite, les 10 sachets et l’épaisseur du livret laisse présager de quelques heures de montage.
Le premier sachet suffit à faire ressurgir les souvenirs, l’assemblage des minifig et de leurs accessoires a été LA séquence « souvenirs » du set.
La suite de la construction est plaisante avec nombres de technique propre à la gamme Creator, le rendu final de la coque est satisfaisant.
Les voiles qui me semblaient être le point faible du set sont finalement très convaincantes et l’ensemble du bateau une fois monté est vraiment agréable à regarder .
Au chapitre des déceptions, certaines pièces m’ont paru être bien fragile (trop flexible) et les traces de point d’injection trop visible sur d’autres (les marrons essentiellement).
Au final, un moment agréable de construction et de bons moments de jeu pour les enfants qui sont ravis du
« bateau de papa ».

<span itemprop="description">I don’t know where to start! This is the first LEGO kit I’ve purchased for myself. After my own 4yr old has gotten into LEGO big time over the last 6 months and playing with him and building some of the kits, it reignited the same passion I had growing up when I played with LEGO. Having always wanted a pirate ship as a kid but my folks unable to afford them at the time I thought why not buy myself one now! This build was fantastic and the amount of pieces for the price was excellent. The finished ship is not small at all and really has presence! The built up sails look really good and I thought the shark is also really well done. Lots of other little gems like swords and guns, treasure and canons and even a skeleton crew member. I’m waiting for the Ideas Barracuda set to come back into stock and I’ll be adding it to my fleet too! Haven’t built the other two builds as the ship looks to nice to pull apart.</span>
